Motorola V3i and TomTom Go510

Hi,
Has anybody managed to use the TomTom Go510 with their Motorola V3i?
I can 'Bond' with my phone, and use it for making/receiving calls ok, but if I try to set up the Data connection, TomTom disconnects from the phone and then won't re-connect. The bond message just flashes briefly every 30 seconds or so. From then on I can't connect back to the phone even after switching off both items
The funny thing is that when the Bond message appears on the phone it identifies it as a TomTom Go710 and not a Go510.
I can't decide if the problem is with the TomTom or the phone!
I have tried it with a Motorola V525 with the same results.
Anyone had the same problem?
