Warning - I think will form a large part of this post..

In the early 90's I think there used to be this programme on a Sunday lunchtime.

I think it was on BBC2...

It may have been 'The Sunday Show'

ANYWAY part of that show was this young guy, black longish hair and his job every week was to get on TV on other channels incognito. On one occasion he managed to get on Anglia local news about roller skating or something.

Who was he? And where is he now?

Oh crumbs - you see my aged brain might well be getting horridly befuddled with Pennis & this guy...

Definately though black longish hair, slightly geeky - job to get on TV..

I remember one time he stood as a fringe candidate for a by-election so he could appear on tv when the result was announced

That rings a major bell with me as well. Magenta Divine used to present I think (and what on earth happened to her - fell down a well due to a whole wearing sunglasses all the time tragic accident perhaps?)

Is it the same guy who went on to present the short-lived gameshow Couch Potatoes with Max Beesley (!) on Channel 4?
