  It is possible to use SD or SDHC cards for media storage and playback when held in a suitable USB adaptor. However, due to the wide variation of such adaptors, it is not possible to guarantee that all adaptor/card combinations will work in the radio.

  Only way to know is to buy one and try it - I use a USB/Micro-SD adaptor to use a Micro-SD card in my Denon media streamer, and that works fine, but I happened to have the adaptor already (it came with a Micro-SD card I bought) so there was no cost involved in trying it.
