    Actually I'm quite surprised there aren't more ABBA songs on the list. So many ABBA songs have great hooks.

    I think the list shows the benefits of a great big melodious chorus and/or a great riff.
    Whether you like these songs are not is irrelevant, there is a part of them that will always get into your head.

    The intro to 'Don't you want Me', you only have to say the name of the song to hear it!
    You can probably say the same for 'Eye of the Tiger', 'Billie Jean', 'You Ain't seen Nuthin' Yet'

    And then the big chorus stuff, 'Candle in the Wind', 'I Will always love you' even 'MmmBop'.

    ABBA's SOS does come close to being the perfect pop song. Great intro, the verses in a minor slightly angst laden key, a glorious two part chorus, a very simple instrumental middle 8 and a proper ending rather than fade out. Perfect pop.
