On the other side of the coin (:D:blush:) he's boring me tonight whereas I thought he was good on Saturday for Colombia v Greece. Then again, it isn't the most exciting of matches!
Anybody have any idea what Robbie Savage is like commentating, might give thus next game a miss
I'm expecting him to use his usual 606 line to the main commentators (or it seems like it when I have the misfortune to tune in): "Alright you've had your say, now let me have mine".
I'll admit my expectations are low for the Savage commentary but to be fair he can't be much worse than some of the co-commentators we've already had.
Have to say I did like that bit on the end of the BBC coverage about social media - in particular Neil and Phil's views. And fair play to Phil - he was an awful co-commentator on Saturday but it's not his fault he was in that position and he seems a decent bloke, good pundit (though not a co-commentator) and has dealt well with the huge amounts of criticism and joke-making at his expense since Saturday. His "I liked social media until 24 hours ago" line was quite funny.
Ranting on about national anthem and being a general **** head
Agreed - so far he's basically just been Lawro. One Lawro is bad enough. The national anthem point he made was just unnecessary. I really doubt anyone in the U.S cared about it as much as Savage seemed to.

I've said it before, I'll say it again - he does nothing other than spout (and shout) outlandish opinions for no other reason than to draw attention to himself.
If the BBC thinks he reflects the vast majority of football fans then God help us all.

He reflects 606 callers... But so did David Mellor

Sadly I think they do think that.
It was embarassing last night - you had Hemry and Seedorf as pundits and then Savage. Which'd be fine if Savage was a great pundit to make up for it but he isn't. The BBC really are keen on him and difficult to avoid ( trust me I try to avoid him).

Very true, I do like Bower though
In the 33rd minute
I can't blame him for wishful thinking.
Or listen to the 5live commentary not sure what the pairing is though
Alan Green and Brad Friedel
so do i !! and i like KK
Can you imagine if Phil Neville had been co-comm tonight!! :o
Though fair play to him for his comment about social media: "I liked it until 24 hours ago."

CAM V MEX: 3.33m (27.6%)
COL V GRE: 4.57m (34.3%)
He's never done TV co-comm I don't think
I like him on radio
Some people just don't like him because of his reputation
No idea why he's on the BBC payroll.

Me too, he's no Coleman but a solid enough pro. Felt sorry for him tonight getting a BBC1 primetime slot but a lousy game.
Hope italy-Costa Rica is better for him on Friday.

7 mins in you make a negative opinion. People need games - plural. Not 7 minutes. Jesus.
He's talking common sense so far (bar the anthem stuff)
