FINAL week of the 2014 tour for Dance 'Til Dawn already! Can't believe that 6 months have passed since it all started! This week they are finishing off in Southampton @ Mayflower Theatre
Looking forward to the West End though which starts in October and runs for 10 weeks
"It`s an exhilarating fusion of musical theatre and traditional ballroom dance. The abundance of impressive, dazzling, hot dance duets, coupled with world class dancing is utterly spellbinding...."
My sister and I went to see this today at the matinee. There wasn't a spare seat as far as I could see and the whole show was great. I didn't expect it to be funny and the singing was a bonus. Vincent and Flavia were, of course, fantastic. In fact the whole cast were excellent.
We had the tickets as a present from my daughter! Front row of the circle!

Glad you enjoyed it I think a lot of people go thinking it is just a dance show only to find it is a a mix between ballroom/Latin/musical theatre and with a story to it all. They are a very talented all round cast, and even though V&F aren't actors, they are brilliant in this and with some very funny moments
The Press launch for Dance 'Til Dawn took place this week for the upcoming West End run at The Aldwych Theatre ( info on website - http://www.dancetildawnonstage.com/ ) ... and everyone was treated to an Argentine Tango demo and also a little masterclass.
Oh how I miss them on SCD and it was so good to watch them dance again. Thanks to Official London Theatre for the video...
They just ooze class and quality don't they ? No wonder the Jordan's are in the mess they are, or can't find backers for them to tour. They aren't in the same league !

Sorry this is off topic but thought V and F fans might like to know that Vincent is appearing at Peterborough's Italian festival on Sunday afternoon. He is doing dancing demos in the main square, first one at 2 pm.
GOOD LUCK to Flavia, Vincent & all at Dance 'Til Dawn for tonight's 1st preview show at The Aldwych. Enjoy the show to anyone going over the next 10 weeks that they are there in the West End :-)

I loved it. So much better than when on tour. Vincent, Flavia and the producers have really improved it. New costumes and a longer version of the Argentine Tango at the end (nearly the full version of Vanessa Mae's track plus a few bits or remixed stuff)
It just goes to show how their talents are missed on Strictly:
A Salsa with a chair (plus hat and clutchbag);
A rumba which brings a new meaning to Cell Block Tango; and
A Quickstep that involves leaping over bodies.... to name but a few.
Im looking forward to seeing it again to see what of the new changes survive the cutting room floor before the press night.
It really was fabulous - and I went it to it not having a clue what to expect as I didn't catch the tour. The Rumba was beautiful and pretty much made me cry (which made Vincent very sympathetic when I told him so afterwards!) and I think I stopped breathing during the AT, I was so transfixed. My favourite was actually the Quickstep though, very clever.
The ensemble needs more rehearsal to be a bit tighter, and I'm sure V&F will be glad of some more time to tweak it as well - there are a couple of minor costume issues that need sorted but Flavia said some of her dresses had only arrived that day! Her Rumba dress in particular is gorgeous. By press night I expect the whole show will have been finessed and it'll be spectacular.
I was lucky enough to be at press night on Monday and it was without doubt the most memorable show I have ever been to. As well as seeing a good few celeb faces, the audience was packed with friends and family of the cast and the atmosphere electric!
SO many changes since the last time I had watched it when on tour and even though I didn't think it could have been improved on at the time, it somehow has been. Jam packed with amazing back to back dancing, the singing from Oliver Darley and Abbie Osman is truly outstanding, and the comedy moments are even funnier than before
The highlight of the night was a newly extended Argentine Tango that absolutely blew the audience away and it had barely even finished before everyone was on their feet giving a standing ovation that never stopped until the lights went up.... it carried right through the entire finale! It was absolutely jaw dropping and definitely worthy of the audience reaction.
If you haven't been to the show yet then it really is one not to miss, and even if you have seen it before on tour then it is definitely worth seeing again for all the new changes and especially for their Argentine Tango.

Do you have a best moment? - or was it all good?
Keep wondering what that feint noise is in the background - just realised it is James Jordan grinding his teeth !!

Sigh.............I miss them on SCD :(
My absolute favorite pro couple on SCD; Love them.....they are a dance couple made in dance heaven :kitty::kitty:; Poetry in motion :kitty:
That was just wonderful Dilly, thank you for posting it.:)
I miss their fantastic demos and showdances on Strictly, their great celeb partnerships, their appearances on ITT............well, all of it, really.
I'm so happy for them that they are doing so well post-SCD, though.
