Got myself an iPhone 6 Plus but kind of missing my S4 for being able to swap batteries (although it doesn't drain in the same way!)
What would you recommend I buy to keep it powered? A charge case when it comes out? A portable charger?

I have Choetech Qi chargers from Amazon, one in the car and one on the bedside table. They are great
Anker are very well regarded, though I also like Powergen, here's mine:

It's made by Anker. It's quite heavy, mind... more designed for if you're travelling out and about rather than day-to-day use.
EDIT: paulbrock - beat me to it
It use one of these for my iPhone and tablet when I'm away from the mains or car. Works great and will charges my iPhone 5S around 7 times but less if I also charge my tablet. It has both 2.1a and 1a output. I cost me £20 from http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intocircuit-11200mAh-External-Battery-Charger/dp/B00BPN6X52/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1411800783&sr=8-1&keywords=intocircuit+power+castle

I'st one of the few that has been tested more rigorously over time - http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-usb-battery-pack-travel/
exactly. theses are amazing. you can get 15000 mah ones which is about 3 or 4 complete charges of your phone.
another vote for anker, found them to be the best portable chargers.
