But to an outside eye, she gave him home tuition, even though her husband was uncomfortable with it; he kissed her twice; she is friends with him and socialised with him at The Loft; other people have noted their closeness.

Even if they didn't try that line of enquiry, I'm surprised that they didn't ask why she'd named Robbie initially, particularly as she didn't see the attacker.

I'm surprised they didn't ask that too and yes I would have expected the defence to twist Nancy's words the way she did with poor JP.

Exactly. JP let Finn stay over once, when he was intoxicated. Also, (getting into the details of the action) isn't it more likely that if JP fancied Finn, he would have done stuff to him rather than the other way around? Being a straight female I wouldn't know but wouldn't it be more likely that he'd ask for a type of sexual favour where he could see 'lovely' Finn?

What is Finn's explanation again of why JP forced him to do it and what he threatened him with? Finn's only way of convincing people is to say how he thought he wouldn't be believed because JP is such a lovely man.

I'm also confused, if Finn was groomed and it was what JP wanted, why did he have to hit him over the head, the cut on his head is a fact, how is that explained, they are not Brendan and Ste

And why do it in a class room

While Finn's defence solicitor is only doing her job, I agree that the prosecution will be able to rip Finn's lies to shreds, especially due to the logical plotholes you have all mentioned. Even Sinead and Tony have been forced to accept that Finn is guilty.

I don't think another male would've worked. Finn only managed to do what he did because he knocked JP out with whatever he used and had made him emotionally weak. Finns a scrawny kid he wouldn't have even been tall enough to grab Darren around the mouth from behind.

Phoebe would've been interesting viewing or Esther given that she is a lesbian it would emphasise his homophobia and of course help stand against the fact that his victims supposedly had a thing for him. I'm surprised Blessing isn't a witness.

I think we may see Phoebe as a witness. This is the first day of the trial and focused on the testimony of the victims. The other witnesses are coming. Phoebe would have to be a witness because she interrupted Finn's attack.

I meant as an alternative attack to Nancy

Esther would have been great, and after blessing and JP would make sense

God I hope Nancy gets killed off this autumn. She used to be my favourite character but I can't stand her.

The way Nancy behaving and her personality changed looks like she could get killed off or leave alive this autumn. They said favourite characters this autumn are not going to make it.

I love Mercedes' comedy at times.

To Browning: "Dinner's on the wall".

Or Mercy to Lindsey (about the fact that she does not know who the father of her baby is).

"We've all been there" LOL :D:D;-)

Ste is pretty scrawny, Finn could have gone forhim. If he drugged the guy, he could have raped any of the men. I think Robbie would have been a good choice as the third victim (Blessing being a victim of abuse even though it wasn't sexual).

They should stop killing off characters, they should let the characters leave alive that way the actors and actresses can come back in the near future. Just hopeing nothing happens to Esther and Phebeo and they stay on hollyoaks. The actresses who Esther and Phebeo are great in their roles.

Absolutely, the crazier the better. It would make his character interesting for once. Unfortunately I don't think he will die.

Except he's married to Sinead. Not that it's ever acknowledged these days that either Freddie or Sinead is, or ever was, married.

Why was it necessary to quiz Nancy on her sex life? On DNA found on her? Surely we all have DNA on us from hugs etc. She isn't saying Finn actually raped her so if the dna was found in her intimate areas then why is it even an issue?

Again, this is the reason why so many women, in particular, don't come forward because their sex life is used as evidence against them. Shame on Hollyoaks for going along with that when it wasn't even necessary to do so. He better be found guilty on friday or Hollyoaks will have made it a lot harder for victims to come forward.

They've just made the whole focus on Darren and Nancy, Finn barely touched her for god sake! Blessing has much more to say as he put in hospital then threatened her and Tony and Sinead know all about it. I'm furious at all three of them for not coming forward with that! And what about Dennis? Why isn't he getting involved. God this whole SL is an absolute joke.

This is what has annoyed me from day one. If you are going to do deal with a serious subject like rape then treat it as such. What they have done is to threat it exactly the same as the gangster storylines or cheating. They will allow Finn to be found guilty but not with evidence beyond reasonable doubt: it will be something silly like Diane turning against him and he saying OK I did it. She is his alibi for where he was at a certain time but she never saw where he was. They have put so much doubt into the trial for dramatic purposes that it is a farce. I cannot see any educational message reaching anyone.

I just saw a picture of Linda from EE. It looks like she is in an interview room after being attacked.. It looks to me as if EE will approach rape in a more realistic an responsible way.

But then it defeats the whole point of the storyline by implying that it was just the same as ordinary rape.
