Does anyone remember The Search on Channel 4 in 2007, presented by Jamie Theakston. They had two teams searching each week for a symbol in a location around the world, India, France, Guatemala, Egypt e.t.c. , with one member of the losing team being eliminated each week, until the final when contestants searched for "£50,000 of Gold" buried somewhere in the UK. I thought it was quite good, but it seemed to largely be ignored, perhaps because of the other reality series running on Channel 4 at that time, the controversial series of Celebrity Big Brother, which pushed The Search out of it's original slot for the second episode when CBB had to be moved to post-watershed.

You cant call Gladiators forgotten? Its a sad day if thats the case.

How about another Saturday night show? Man O Man with Chris Tarrant. Like Take Me Out, but worse.

When I was about 10 or 11, I used to love watching "Singled Out". Back in the day in my neck of the woods nobody had a satellite dish, but a few local TV stations would air MTV after they finished broadcast.

What, not even Gladiators & Blind Date, which are very much remembered? Why the OP thinks their forgotten I've no idea.

No, not forgotten, I used to watch the foreign version on satellite wondering what the hell was going on, but you can always trust the Brits to take a terrible programme and make it worse.

Quite a few of those are hardly what I'd call forgotten. I used to love What's Up Doc and in fact was only thinking of that the other day :p

Off the top of my head:

Virtually Impossible on ITV in 1994. Failed replacement for Knightmare.

Midas Touch with Bradley Walsh, mid 90s.

Raise The Roof with Bob Holness in 1995, where winners won a house.

Wanted on C4 in the late 90s, with Richard Littlejohn. Contestants had to run and hide from the Trackers. They could go anywhere and had public transport at their disposal. Reminded me of Interceptor in some ways, but a lot more chaotic, treated to a late-night slot. Good stuff.

The 2002 revival of Treasure Hunt with Dermot Murnaghan and Suzi Perry, unfairly forgotten as it's mostly fine, the BBC just decided to bury it for some reason.

Shattered with Dermot O'Leary on C4. Basically BB from what I remember, but you had to stay awake the whole time.

Traitor on BBC2, a bizarre game show where two people out of a group had to lie about themselves and not be caught out - there was probably more to it. It was on at teatime when they lost The Simpsons, only for a few weeks at most.

crime traveller was a fave of mine https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RfTS6donyZY

Then there was the BBC sitcom Let them Eat Cake seemed to to go under the radar https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=e8G_X-R_yks

And the best medical drama the BBC ever produced, Bodies https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LWKpc8O9Dyk

And not quite forgotten hopefully but I used to love it at the time, Murder Most Horrid https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zVc0xJ7KJrU

I remember almost all of these suggestions (lol at Gladiators and Blind Date being forgotten!)

I don't know whether I have an excellent memory or have just watched way too much TV?!

    The Mole on C5

Only 2 series but a genuinely different game show, should have had far more series

That was a super great show! I Remember catching my first episode and thinking it was abit meh until they had to go into a room one after another to look for clues. On the wall was the clue to who the mole was in the form of scrabble tiles. One word down and several across -all coming off the verticle word. The first two people came in a missed the clue - which if I remember correctly was the moles name or something similarly blatant. The third person in, who was the mole, found it and changed it to someone else!
At that point, I was hooked. Really do think it should come back.

Guess what I'm watching this weekend lol https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7F5E196B56D10150

Really good show - remember it on Channel 5. Glenn Hugill was very good as the host. Seems to still be airing abroad, wish it could come back here... (ps thanks for the lnk!)

Another unusual/interesting Channel 5 show was Topranko! - a quiz show hosted by the late, great Anthony H. Wilson. I think it lasted only 1 series.

There's a show that's always stuck in my mind, probably from the late 90s/early 00s, I think it was called The Murder Game? It was a murder mystery thing with members of the public trying to solve it, and one of them was "killed off" at the end of every episode. No one I know seems to remember it though!

We used to love The Paradise Club with Leslie Grantham and Don Henderon - only 2 series were made (1989 and 1990 so technically a 90s show).

It was originally a Belgian concept.

Over here in my country it is still running (we had the 15th season earlier this year!), but now the last 10 years with celebrities (with about 15% of the whole country watching it!):

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXcrN5wrgnc

We even had a junior version of it:

And my favourite season (the 1st one with celebs):

    (Lottie )

As for British shows, the legend that is Bonekickers :D

(Hugh and Gugu managed to survive it)

That sounds a little like Cluedo to me but I think it was early 90's so it's probably not the show you're looking for.

Cluedo was based on the board game. Each series had a new cast playing the characters and a new host if I remember correctly. Chris Tarrent was host on one series and I think Richard Madely hosted the show at some point.
