Does Reality TV Make People More Accepting Of Surveillance?

Hi guys, I'm currently working on my 3rd year dissertation and I wanted to do it around Reality Television. Briefly, the question that I want to investigate is; does Reality TV Make People More Accepting Of Surveillance?

It's no surprise that this generation is more accepting to the 'big brother state' that we see today with social media, especially compared to the George Orwell generation. But do you think that reality television has played a role in sensitising people to constant surveillance?

I would really appreciate peoples opinions and ideas on this. Any help would be great! Thanks :)

(Sorry for the re-post, I think I put it in the wrong section before)
