I think a programme of this magnitude deserves it's own thread.

I've been looking forward to this because I think it's going to be a disaster.

Won't be watching it if there is still a tennis match on.

It's gone from a Gentlemen's Club vibe to a junior disco complete with a soft drinks bar.

    Not my cup of tea.

    The audience is annoyingly pointless.

It's trying to be hip and trendy.

Think everyone has gone over to BBC Red Button to watch Watson anyway :D

And it's going exactly as I thought, very edited highlights of the sort you would find in a news item on the 10pm News.

Today at least we have live ongoing coverage on Red Button, but I think many people would have liked to see a good chunk of the Djokovic match and not this YouTube friendly thing.

As a programme it might have worked going out at 11:30pm on BBC2, but the old programme was a better concept for highlights.

I've missed most of the tennis today, put it on to catch up. Might as well get the red button text info up.
The pimm's version of a TFI rentacrowd isn't needed.

I bet they'll soon get fed up with standing for an hour every night.

The programme title says it all, shan't be bothering.

A torrid mess. The audience is pointless and weird, Clare Balding is trying to make first round games between players we don't care about seen very exciting, and the whole thing is cringeworthy and amateurish.

I'd rather just watch highlights on the News At Ten.

Should'nt this be called 'The Clare Balding Show At Wimbledon'?:D

I'd rather put up with the insufferable John Inverdale than this pantstastic effort...

I think the John Inverdale show was better. The audience is distracting (that will change I bet) - they look bored to hell - and the cameraman constantly moving

So far I think nobody likes this show. I liked "Today at Wimbledon" with proper summary of the important matches and a cosy feel, this is awful and no idea why they need an audience. Rubbish BBC!

I remember for the Olympics they had a programme like this but before it also a fairly full highlights package.

    Also for the Commonwealth games..

Basically a talking heads type of show.

What was the point of the audience, they barely did anything.

They held the seeds board and said they had been to see the tennis.

I remember when Today at Wimbledon was on much later, by which time all the matches were over. It doesn't make sense to have it on while matches are still in progress.

I really dislike the new format - trying too hard to be down with the kids. A presenter who doesn't know tennis, a silent audience behind the presenter, everyone standing, clips sent in by viewers. Bring back John Inverdale!

Ironically W1A predicted they would try to jazz up Wimbledon coverage just this year. Do they not watch their own shows?

The point of the old show was to provide highlights of the key matches those of us at work during the day missed - and find out what key players won or lost.

    This just doesn't deliver.

Why not have a 30 mins highlights show at 9pm on BBC2 and then show this after the ten o clock news on BBC1 where it might work.

It's absolutely terrible - pointless and distracting audience and why can't the pundits sit down? It was so much nicer when they sat on the roof. I'm sure they're showing less of each match as well although maybe that will change as there are less players in the tournament. They're definitely trying to appeal to a younger demographic for some reason: flashing coloured lights at the end and why is the 'Today' now in text speak? What a tacky revamp. >:( However it was good to see Mac again.

Absolutely. What was wrong with the old-style 'Today at Wimbledon'? Why did they have to try and make a 'hip' version of it. :(

I'm so glad John Inverdale has gone. I miss the old style though, the location the lack of an audience. The name is just hideous.
