 Maybe taking things a bit too far?
A mother who wanted to give a birthday cake to her son featuring a photo of him as a baby was forced to have it censored because it showed his bottom.

Gail Jordan, 41, had gone to Asda in Liscard, Wirral, on 13 June with the photo of her 21-year-old son David taken when he was five months old.

Staff at the supermarket refused to scan the picture onto a cake as it featured nudity.

They eventually printed the image onto the icing with a star over the bottom.

Mrs Jordan, of Rock Ferry, said: "I took the photo of my son to the store in Liscard and they said we can't do that - it's nudity.

"It was a photo of my son at five-months-old. I could not believe it.

Mothers kiss their babies, what's wrong with that? It's not sexual. It's completely loving and natural to want to kiss your little ones all over.

im not saying it is. im saying if its allowed on tv then its allowed on a cake.

why the person wants to do it on the tv add i find disturbing, it might lay a projectile 'egg'.

One does have to wonder what kind of twot goes to the press (where does this "Staff said it was deemed as pornographic" rubbish come from?) rather than another shop with this. There is the problem with the world, not some poor minimum wage schmuck sticking to the letter rather than the spirit of his job rules.

who can blame him, the management don't trust there staff to use their judgment (probably with good reason)., and they write incredible strict rules on what is and what is not accptable.

It is a case of you do one thing your dammed, you do another and your dammed as well.

    I say F*ck it.

I'm wondering... if I've still got those snaps of me on a rug in front of the fireplace, and I scan them and store them on my hard drive, and subsequently send my computer for a service to PC World, could I get put on the Sex Offenders Register for having indecent images of myself?

    That's a very good question!

Is it possible to own photo's of yourself as a child, that can be misused?

I suppose if no-one else is involved, it can't be.

There are of course rules in place for reasons, sadly these days it would appear that quite a few of the Uk's businesses and their staff cannot differentiate between what is suspicious/acceptable/the norm and what is not.

It's ridiculous that this has even got to the press.
A spokesman for Asda said: "We did not say it was pornographic. It is policy across the board that we don't do nudity of any sort at any age. It is nothing new.

ASDA has a perfectly sensible policy.

I see your point, but it seems like double standards to me, they will not do a babies bottom on a cake as humour as its classed as nudity, but last year they had no problem in stocking adult style lingerie including black lace push up bras , thongs and T-Shirts with slogans such as " So many boys so little time" , all aimed at the 6 to 9 year old girl age range. Sorry but is that not a rather odd policy strategy.,
