The TechniSat HDFS will get a software update this month allowing it to become a PVR. The update will allow it to recored to USB media. It will be possible to record both standard and high-definition programmes, though broadcaster restrictions mean that you’ll only be able to playback on that specific receiver.

This box does not seem to get much of a mention and is now under £100.00

Now it can record & pause, does that make it FreeSat+ (with external usb flash drive, hard drive).
EDIT : No NAS support to store recordings.

EPG looks interesting and shows 10 channels on a page.

This is the box I have been using whilst hoping Humax or now Samsung provide what I want for use with a multi-lnb set-up. Personally, I am very happy with it except that it is not a twin tuner. You need to be aware that the recordings made on it can only be replayed using the drive and box which made the recording (apparently a freesat limitation they were required to implement) and whilst you can set up recordings from the epg the timings don't get any subsequent updates as there is no epg link or series link, but at least you can change the timings (unlike Samsung) and you can set regular recurring recordings.

Are you using the Technisat with multi-LNBs? If so, could you possibly pop over to the Freesat forum to see my questions here!
