If There Is Something - Roxy Music
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PDp3g1WoSE

The final verse kills me every time. Very moving.

Shake your head girl, wave your ponytail
Takes me right back (when you were young)
Threw your precious gifts into the air
Watched them fall down (when you were young)

Lift up your feet and put them on the ground
You used to walk upon (when you were young)
Lift up your feet and put them on the ground
The hills were higher (when you were young)
Lift up your feet and put them on the ground
The trees were taller (when you were young)
Lift up your feet and put them on the ground
The grass was greener (when you were young)
Lift up your feet and put them on the ground
You used to walk upon (when you were young)

It's hard to pick an absolute favourite but one candidate, and probably the song I've played the most over the years, is Down In The Park by Tubeway Army.

I wouldn't argue too much with that as it's superb but personally I would say this track by The Blue Nile:

    The Clash - London Calling.

The front cover was enough for me.

Hmmmm think I'm gonna say Don't stop me now from Queen.
Loved it since I was seven years old and it's still the only song I can sing along to in key.
No one writes songs like Queen

Close second is Electric Feel from MGMT. I sing it in my head so much

Another Day. I don't really care if it's Kate Bush and Peter Gabriel, Liz Fraser or Roy Harper. All of them reduce me to jelly.

Everybody Hurts. Gets me every time.

I purposely only listen to it maybe a few times a year, there's something sacred about it that I always want to remain timeless with me. So when I do hear it, I still feel those exact same emotions. If that makes sense.

Kate Bush - Under The Ivy

    It wouldn't take me long
To tell you how to find it
To tell you where we'll meet
    This little girl inside me
Is retreating to her favourite place
Go into the garden, go under the ivy
Under the leaves, away from the party
    Go right to the rose
Go right to the white rose
I sit here in the thunder
    The green on the gray
I feel it all around me
And it's not easy for me
    To give away a secret
    It's not safe
To go into the garden, go under the ivy
Under the leaves, away from the party
    Go right to the rose
Go right to the white rose
Go into the garden, go under the ivy
Go under the leaves with me
    Go right to the rose
Go right to the white rose
    I'll be waiting for you
    It wouldn't take me long
To tell you how to find it
