I don't know what sort of music Scott plays on the radio. Was he given any of his music to dance to?
He's a daytime dj on Radio 1 - so he has to play the R1 Playlist. What his personal music preferences are I've no idea. I don't think any celeb is given "their own" music - perhaps particularly this year / the last year or two. The production team (chief choreographer, musical director?) tell the couples what they are dancing to, hence Len's comment last night along the lines of: you have to do the best you can with the music you're given.
