pity the secrets out

its a pity they couldnt have kept this quiet and had matt regenerate at the end of the christmas special without us all knowing its going to happen.will they announce who the new doctors going to be or can they manage to keep that under wraps till the special? probably not.

    Well yes, I suppose there was no particular reason to announce it...other than to make front page news. :p

    They could never have kept this a secret. Plus as I think filming for series 8 will happen before Christmas I doubt the identity of the new doctor could be kept a secret. Also why keep it a secret? Regenerations will create lots of publicity.

    Why not? As long as Matt was filming, no one would have been any the wiser. However, as soon as you factor in the new actor then you've got a bit of problem.
