Optoma HD67N Projector / Samsung HT-E5530 setup

I going to be building my own home cinema room using a back bedroom at the family house and am interested in equiping it with a Optoma HD67N 3D Projector which comes with an 84 inch screen, and a Samsung HT-E5530 3D Blu-ray system 5.1. I know I cannot use the 3D until I purchase an add on for the projector but can I just connect the Blu-ray system to the projector using HDMI and watch movies straight away? Anyone have any experience in either of the items?
