You are right to say they need a third care-worker. Surely Tracy needs to be replaced?
And the thing on the Beeb website saying 21/1 for the air date seems to be an error. My EPG is not showing it as airing next Monday.
Same here. I knew the wesbite made an error as they specifically said on CBBC that TDG would be on every Friday followed by 4 O' Clock Club then Sam and Mark. The new Mi High is also on Mondays too so it wouldn't be able to fit into the Monday slot. Thank goodness! I'm glad it's not changing!

Well, it's presumably Melanie being replaced now.
I believe they are supposed to have three care-workers at a time. At the start of Series 1 of Tracy Beaker Returns, Mike and Gina were worrying because they didn't have enough staff. That was the window for Tracy to join.
*slaps the writers for even putting Melanie in the script* - Because the impression that most viewers got when they watched Goodbye Tracy Beaker was that Melanie would be Tracy's replacement, and actually stay for quite some time.
Oh and one thing I forgot to mention was that last year (during my TBR obsession), I used the school library/IT classroom to print out every last article/interview/information about Tracy Beaker Returns and Dani Harmer on leaving it.
Yeah I found out many things that I didn't know, like she used to suffer migraines and that it was her choice to ditch the curly hair, and that if it wasn't for Dani, the producers would have carried on writing much more episodes for TBR (because she said that they had bags of ideas and they really wanted it to go on despite her thinking that TBR would be just one series), and things about where they film etc.
I still have everything that I printed because I got it in this bag... And I printed the first ever article about The Dumping Ground (late March 2012) where it said how it's definitely confirmed (but strangely, one said that Melanie would 100% return in TDG)
Oh and I also printed out something in an interview where Dani said she was in this crime TV show but she wasn't allowed to see the script because it was pretty strong stuff... That explains much fr me, because when I see young kids in 18-rated stuff, I always think that the actors know about sex, the bad language and see the violence... but what Dani said made me think that oh... they probably didn't show them everything..
*cries because they won't show the next few episodes on monday*
I'm glad they're not changing it. I'm completely fine with the same time slot, IMO it works best, there's no need to change it. Besides, everyone loves Fridays!:D

Same! I found out about this back in 2011 when I caught this. They seem to got worse as she got older.

I remember back in March when Connor (Mike) confirmed on twitter that Mike, Gina and Elektra would be in The Dumping Ground. No other character was confirmed until later on. No mentions of Melanie either.

The migraine link you sent. That's the same one I found and printed last year..
OK, maybe Mel wasn't confirmed, I just remember that those 3 charatcers (plus Gus and Tee) were confirmed.
I was absolutely not expecting Frank to return... He's around my age so I would have thought he left.
And Elektra, I mean Jessica's age shocked me. When I found out that she turned 18 last month, I was like :O because I thought I was older than her... She looks younger than me...

Same. It was quite suprised too. Once they confirmed that there would be spin off from TBR called TDG, I then assumed that Frank and Sapphire would not be in the new series but turns out we were wrong about Frank. Unfortunately, I was right about Sapphire though.
LOL! Yes!:D It aired on the BBC years ago. I remember watching it for the first time on TV, it was brilliant!:)
It takes place after series 3 (although there is a bit of an error as Justine is still in the Dumping Ground yet they threw a leaving party for her in the final episode for series 3).

I'd take Sapphire over Frank any day! But if The Dumping Ground goes on for long enough, all the characters will change over time.
Did anyone else think Johnny behaved completely out of character in this episode? He's my favourite character, but he was horrible this week, and totally deserved the prank they played on him. He redeemed himself marginally at the end, but I didn't think his behaviour made sense at all. Unless he was angry at Jody and Tyler for the way they treated him last week, but if that was the case, it should have been clearer.
No he has a nasty, selfish and controlling side to him. He tries to control Tee and he tends to hang out with Elektra which is also bad for him. He also has serious self esteem issues.
He was the one that played tricks on whole house because he was lacking attention. He was also beaten by his mother's boyfriend if things weren't clean and tidy. He is complex.
I think it was the way you worded it "I'm glad to see a black woman in The Dumping Ground" when you were referring to Faith. Still, there has been Justine and other kids there in the past.
What does the TV guide show instead on Monday 21st at 4:30pm?

BIB - Well hopefully that's been cleared now.:o
Marrying Mum and Dad is on at 4.30pm
Then there's "The Story Of Tracy Beaker" at 5pm followed by new Mi High.

Maybe one of the old Dumping Ground kids could return
Highly unlikely though.
So every Friday leads the series to finish on 22nd March.

If only I had my 3 hour friday lesson on a wednesday or something, i'd be completely happy

Gonna have to watch this later as there's EE AND HO
Ah yes! I have to watch both of those too! Will catch you on the soap threads in a few minutes.:D
And bb;)
You're coming back?:eek::)
Yea:o
I'd take Sapphire over Frank any day! But if The Dumping Ground goes on for long enough, all the characters will change over time.
That's true. If it goes on for long then I am really going to miss the current cast (once most of them leave).
Speaking of characters, I really like Faith. I'm also really glad to see a black woman in The Dumping Ground.:)
I wouldn't mind seeing another male.

Have we missed the joke
Yeah, we have. Apparently I said something funny.
EDIT: I think it was the was the way I worded my post.:o

Quite a silly mistake for the website to make.
I wonder if "What Does Gus Want?" will be Gus' last appearance. I hope not.
