I found it sexist to be honest! As a woman, me and my fella go to the pub occasionally and put the world to rights and from time to time, I get forced in to drunkenness down the pub with one of my raucous mates - why was this set up as though it was a men only pub and all the women who cannot possibly be as interesting as listening to these guys, are at home raising kids?
My fella was cringing at the bromancing - not something him and his mates have ever done whilst drinking!
It just didn't work and looked completely set-up. I think it was a promising idea. If they had picked a genuine "local" and left a few cameras running for a week, with careful editing it might have ended up a decent programme.
Given how amusing ordinary people can be when genuinely caught off-guard, this was a very poor effort. It wasn't really fly-on-the-wall stuff.
