The only undemocratic thing about it was one judge effectively having his vote count double in a 2-2 split scenario. There either needs to be an odd number of judges or the result should revert back to the public vote.

How did Len Goodman get to be elevated to be Head Judge in the first place ?....... Was it based on age, experience, dancing ability or some else?

Maybe the best way of preventing judges getting blame for someone's - anyone's - favourite being eliminated, would be to stop the judges giving marks altogether and just giving comments.... as judges do in some other shows. Then, whoever lands in the dance off would be ENTIRELY down to viewers votes.

You would think that would stop complaints, but I guarantee that people would cry foul if they didn't think the judges gave their favourite a glowing review.

It happens all the time in the X Factor forum, where people claim Simon's comments in particular, are designed to make people vote a certain way.

The people who claim that don't fall for his flim-flammery of course, just all us other poor saps who don't know what we want until Simon tells us.
