I just wondered if anyone had read it and even if it's available yet.
If you've read it what do you think?
Read 150 pages of it and it's pretty decent so far!
The only thing that (very slightly) bothers me is King's continued obsession with big jumps in time. You're just getting used to reading about one thing, one set of characters, then suddenly, in the space of a page, it's x number of years later...
Of course, he pulled that off masterfully with IT, but for shorter stories I really wish he wasn't so into going through the main protagonist's entire life...
Just finished. Seemed a little dull to me to be honest, only really picked up at the end
Glad to hear that cause I'm 250 pages in and it's not doing much for me...
He seems to be repeating stuff from Mr Mercedes and Doctor Sleep, his previous two books. I'm not enjoying Revival half as much as those, if I'm honest. I wish they hadn't bigged this one up so much!
I finished it last week and have to say I was really disappointed with it. The end part was the only page turning part for me, and the rest was quite drab. I still haven't read Dr Sleep (because I still haven't read The Shining - I know!!) but I've loved the rest of his recent books, Under the Dome, 11.22.63 and Mr Mercedes so couldn't wait for this one. Especially with all the glowing reviews on Goodreads and Amazon, I was expecting a stonking good read but unfortunately not.
Have to say I enjoyed this one from start to finish and the ending was great. There aren't many King novels I don't enjoy though to be honest. It had some nice subtle nods to some of his other recent works too.
