Lach isn't really a mermaid. She just smells like one.

*opens some windows and wafts the cloud fish out*

    All gone. *hides kippers*

Did you know that the symbol for CND is the inverted Nordic rune Algiz or Elhaz (elk-sedge), which means "protection"?

    Helloooooo Sophie. :D
Did you manage to find your way around the streets of London OK? Avoid being charged £20 for a bottle of tap water and a sick-flavoured yogurt-coated hemp-seed flap-jack?

I see Hammy's been having some trouble with fish in here as well. Who's your friend there, Hammy?

No, as far as I know it's the semaphore letters for N and D.

I didn't get ripped off for food, but ended up spending rather more than I could afford on t-shirts and badges. :o Had an interesting time though, and looks like I might be trying to find my way to Aldermaston next year too. :)

Neither is global thermonuclear warfare, Sophie. :( The sooner you get round there and sort them out the better.

My mother was an Aldermaston marcher back in the day. Her and Bertie Russell were two peas in a pod.

Provided it's still there and hasn't turned into a banana plantation or something. ;)

What, by April? Will there even be enough global warming to make bananas grow in England by then? :D

Icthyophobe is my favourite word of the day. But one of my all time heroes is Mary Anning, discoverer of the Icthyosaur. So I can't agree with you dgemba.

Lol I wish someone would sort it. You never know though, they're discussing a ceasefire in Syria and Iran said they were willing to negotiate last week. I just hope a certain twatt doesn't become President and have us back in the Cold War faster than you can say 'let's have a recount'

Neb, was your mother really into it, and was she a hippy? A lot of people think CND is only for hippies. :p

I saw bananas being grown in Iceland ten years ago. Would have been alarming if it wasn't in a geothermally heated glasshouse. Bloomin' expensive bananas.

    Well, it happened at Villengard...

I've seen bananas in Iceland too. Bought some as well, and they were no more expensive than over the road in Sainsburys. ;)

Old mother Nebo wasn't a hippy. Just a concerned citizen.

Good to hear, because a lot of people have told me CND is all hippies in hemp skirts/and or a waste of time and/or that they thought it hadn't been still going since 1985. :o
