ive been having trouble with my ipod all day but now it wont turn on it just displays the apple logo (which you can hardly see cause its on the black background) and a whiring sound that sounds like an alarm any ideas?

whilst itunes is open hold down the power and home buttons leave them held in till the ipod reboots and as soon as u see the apple logo let go of the power button and keep the home button pressed down and eventually it will go into recovery mode
itunes will ask to restore the ipod, do as instructed on screen and your ipod should be back to normal after it has restored it
