  Actress she is not, she just mugs her way through every role and I echo the comments about her faux welsh accent, she does sound as if she is putting it on.
  
  Her chip monk happily gets by personality really winds me up.

  From the interviews I've seen of her, she seems to be a genuinely nice woman, but I just can't get past the accent. It's like nails down a blackboard.

  I'm a huge Gavin and Stacey - I like Joanna Page. Being Welsh, I'm not bothered by her accent either. I've seen JP on chat shows, and there's nothing pretentious or stuck up about her, she's pretty much like she is in G&S.
  
  She is nothing remotely like Anthea Turner either, that woman really is fake.
  
  But hey, each to their own. I don't get the love for certain 'popular' celebs like Miranda Hart.

  I don't mind her but ..I live in Swansea where she's from yet I've never heard anyone here with the accent she, has. The accents here aren't strongly, Welsh- generally. Mine is a bit stronger because I was brought up elsewhere but even so it's not like Joanna's. She also goes on a fair bit and is fairly loud when enthusiastic so that doesn't help.
  
  The accent here is more like Catherine Zeta Jones's before she went American ie obviously Welsh but not so in your face. I think it's to do with the pitch of Joanna's voice - quite high and the rattling on, that probably grates on people.

  She's hardly fat. Why say he's right. The fat one in Gavin and Stacy was Ruth Jones.

  I found her irritating in the same way as the OP, but then she had a rant over something that I read online and then I liked her. I just don't like people I think are sickly-sweet.
