Adrian Durham failed to show at todays bookfest in Liverpool, after saying he would donate the money to Hillsborough fund. he said, "the reason was because an organiser was taken ill", the event still went ahead.

Everton fans who attended Durhams bookfest in Liverpool :D confirmed on Twitter "the event went ahead and Durham did not show up."

I thought that post of Sleeps was very funny I guess the poor guy had to hit back especially after the weekend he's just had watching all his heroes in various sports underachieving badly. :D(There's always the world cup in 2018 to look forward to Sleeper maybe you'll find another Ally McLeod again who's gonna win it for ya) :p

On last night's darts which Jack commented on I'm writing to the organisers of next month's world championship at the Ally Pally to ask if Phil Taylor can either be blindfolded when he throws at the board or handicapped to only play with his left arm because 'strewth man it's like watching Vettel gobble up every event.:yawn:

That sounds a very lame excuse Jack and I don't believe a word of it if he'd have wanted to have been there he'd have been there.

I used the Sky Plus on every single session (apart from the one they slipped in the blasted red button session) so I could watch it all Oak at my own choosing, like everyone I knew Taylor would win it from the first day, it wasn't just that he's on another level to everyone else why I thought that, he's also in the best form of his life at the moment so it was a forgone conclusion who would win the pot and 100 grand.
I did think Lewis had a chance last night against him and was praying he'd manage it but he ran out of gas midway through and Taylor was his usual sensational self again, will Lewis allow him to practice with him in the hours before the next final?, I think that was a bad mistake.

I did sky plus for the darts.i thought both wade and then Lewis would beat him but he is a true champion.I do agree with the presenters when they say he gets too friendly with Lewis who's game with MvG was fantastic Friday night the speed was brilliant.

I wonder what this guy's up to these days wonder if he's still buying those porn books from the newsagent and sniffing bike saddles in that school bike shed?. Been playing some old clips of him from the past and some are quite funny although I don't think he meant them to be funny when he recorded all those songs accompanied on his Bontempi junior electric organ. :p

Don't be too afraid when/if you play this old one. ;)

I'll have a look to see they've managed to add it to LA. (Listen Again)

    Add on:
Won't play just says "Error 2032"
As for talkSPORT Listen Again, I note that nothing has been uploaded to it since Fight Club last night (which going by the quality of audio from that show compared to that of Extra Time which followed it, I'm guessing was the last show that was broadcast before the scheduled maintenance got underway), so putting two and two together and potentially making five, but could the reason for this be a gremlin stemming from the overnight maintenance?

Nothing has been uploaded onto talkSPORT Listen Again since Saturday night's Fight Club. Andrew McKenna has tweeted:
For those wanting podcast/ listen again @talkSPORT Towers had some major engineering work over the weekend which means we can't do it yet

I wonder what kind of mood Adrian Durham will be in on tomorrow's show? ;)

In all seriousness, full credit to him for taking the day off today and heading to the Bescot to see his team. I know he gives us plenty of reasons to knock him but he's a proper fan.

He has slaughtered his team and manager on twitter after their drubbing by an excellent Walsal side.I would never say fair play to this wind up merchant who has behaved like a cretin over the last month with his attention seeking antics on twitter.I think you will find he didn't take the day off just to watch Peterborough for what was hardly an important game.Lets hope he show the same desire next Tuesday when posh come to Griffin Park.

Getting sick and tired of Big Alan's "I didn't actually watch it but..." routine when he's about to pontificate on something.

I appreciate he can't see everything, but the least you expect from the main presenter on the station is he's watched the major sporting events of the weekend.

For my sins, I used to listen to Chris Moyles and despaired that he watched all the garbage reality TV shows and the likes of X Factor. But I realised, that's what his audience watched and if he wanted to connect with them then he had to watch it too. Brazil obviously still feels very comfortable in his position if he continues to just wing it like he does.

And whoever it was that mentioned his penchant for saying 'Davey' Moyes and 'Chrissy' Hughton, I hate you!! I hadn't really paid that much attention to it originally, but since it was discussed on here I can't stop noticing it!

I honestly think they're all so well paid, well off and comfortable with their lives working for talksport they don't care about about standards any more or anything and I include the owners, managers, team-leaders and presenters in that. At least six of the worst presenters should be shown the door summarily style because they're not up to it, we all know who they are, (and I mean all) the schedule is now so boring I can't help but switch constantly to something else, they're now putting out a little short promo declaring "Expect the unexpected on talksport" ... what a laugh it should be "Expect the expected on talksport" because all it is is talk talk talk about the bloody premier league specifically the top 5 clubs.

Goodbye Mr Durham, Mr Gough, Mr Quinn, Mr Forde, Mr Brazil, Mr Cork, Mr Ginola, Mr Rushden and Mr Warnock (unless you can find the time to actually come in to talksport and do it properly) please empty your sorry lockers and get skedaddled.

This is how much they think of Football League clubs and the thousands of supporters of these clubs who are talksport loyal listeners they put out one 60 minute show a week at 06.00 in the morning when everybody's in bed asleep.

    PS..
and the adverts are getting more frequent and worse. :(

    PPS..
are there any bonus points for "skedaddled"?.

He probably wanted to try and flog more books at the game following up his last appearance when I heard he sold two. (his mother and brother were at the match and they bought one each out of sympathy)

On a tangent, but Moyles would be a fantastic replacement for Goldstein on the Sports Bar.

Been listening the last couple of days to old Tommy Boyd shows in my collection and it dawned just how much I miss the variety of current affairs on the station I wish they had kept it 50/50 talk and sport it really broke up the schedule for the listener, ... now it's all football 24 hours a day and it's just too much to stay interested.

Boyd could be an annoying little so and so at times but his shows were often very funny and always interesting, he was very a sharp operator that's for sure whether you liked him or hated him. The same with Dickin, he could be ignorant and also annoying to listen to but he had a presence about him, he got good callers ringing in and people listened, the same with Whale, Barkes and Collins on one of his good days.

It's all gone I know, :( different owners, different station, different setup .... I wish it was different again.

Ah well back to Durham and Arsenal, after that Saggy & Stan on about the other top clubs, Goldy the same and overnight again the same.

It's ridiculous that a radio presenter of a flagship show doesn't watch or attend that much live sport or view on TV. Get rid and get in Dants, Danny Kelly or anyone who watches football, cricket, rugby on a regular basis.

Listening to the Sports Bar tonight, same old after an England game. Goldstein slagging off everything about England, Cundy being reasonable and level-headed.
