What is it with Americans? Can't they say toilet, loo, lavvy, bog?
It's just an idiom, we say carsey, s**thouse, or toilet, they say bathroom.
I went to the bathroom = I took a leak, or dump.
The French have multiple terms too, je veux faites pee-pee = I need to pee.
Faut que j'aille au chiottes = I need to go to the toilet.
Same thing but instead of chiottes, use pissoir.
Pissoir was also the term for the small shelter for men to urinate, found in city streets.

Dat quality writing.
Couldn't help but laugh too.
However, have you had a look at the other "Top News" stories on the same page?
