Apprenticeship woes

My daughter who is on an apprenticeship has worked for this 'company' for nearly 3 months on £2.50 p/hour and recieved very little if any training and has been thrown straight into what everyone else is doing in the office.
Yes, she has complained to the officials and they are trying to work things out with the company.
Just wonder how much of this crap treatment of apprentices goes on (or not). Hope it is isolated case.

No, that's what an apprenticeship/internship/traineeship is.
Doing the shitty jobs for less money than everyone else.

Done a few myself and none have been particularly beneficial or worthwile, but it's the way of the world pretty much.

I posted about this a while ago. It's incredible that this is allowed to happen, the only defence people had for it was that your daughter will now have experience she may not have had if they had to pay her full wage.
