I have just been attempting to remove the stitches from my gum, where I had the extraction, to save a 2 hour round trip to the dentist.Nearly cut my tongue as it is so far back but got 2 of them, will attempt others later as my hand started to shake....:o:p

Just off to put my head between my knees :D

I think that is the longest lurk i have heard of. You must have a slow boiling point. :D I am glad you have joined in.

The hospital was good. We were whisked straight in, nobody argued, everyone was helpful beyond the call of duty and the doctor was knowledgeable, sympathetic and interested.
The only snag was that the pharmacy shuts before the clinics finish so we are supposed to go back today to get the prescription, which is beyond awkward.

    Morning all.
Yup, am going to get another opinion and may see someone when I'm home over the summer too..
    Morning halla

I have just goggled also, the surgeon obviously thinks surgery is necessary and the real answer to your problem and knows what he is talking about but of course you can always get a second opinion if you think there may be another way round getting rid of the knee problem. I can understand your trepidation and I suppose it has come as a bit of a shock to you.

    Morning SR :D
Big shock to be honest, really wasn't expecting that at all...

Then again you would probably complain if we never had a Nation Health Service, and after the op you would more than likely complain your toast was overdone. Moan moan moan, if you dont want the op just tell them to chop your leg off and be done with it.

Good morning everyone, I am a new user so be very gentle with me.:D
Bit rude don't you think! If I was in the UK I'd still be waiting for an appointment anyway, unlike here, in Thailand, where I live...where I had MRI yesterday, saw specialist today, including getting an xray and all from a referral from doctor last week....of course I am paying for all of this...though:)

    ..and I hate burnt toast..

Yup. some nurses did their best to get a different doctor(ours had left) to change the prescription for one that can be used elsewhere, but he obviously told them to take a hike :D I think it was the one from last year that coughed and sneezed all over his hand and refused point blank to antibac before examination.
The thing is, after traipsing around yesterday i cant walk very well today so very awkward.
I am in trauma because the dishwasher has broken
I think i know what is wrong with it but it requires a bit of brute force.

Just been thinking, do you have one of those thread cutters that you get with sewing kits? that might do the trick?

    Good Morning Everyone.:_

Was woken with the birds singing away, O/H likes the window on an air flow setting, funny thing though, they stopped singing at 6.30, must have gone for brekki.

Sun streaming through the window again, forced to get up.

Off to Morrison's soon for Brekki.
    psychrometry:cool:

It its proper air con then you can't just go on heat in/out you have to account for keeping the humidity at the correct level - which is in fact the main purpose of air con
Morning Balders, if you can't stop the humid air getting air you can never get the humidity down.

I am not a happy bunny, doc wants to do nasty things to my knee:cry: a high tibial osteotomy and a maquet...I have googled both and now feel slightly sick:( - and this was supposed to be the guy who's not surgery-happy:eek: ie the minimalist, non-invasive specialist.
Anyone know any orthopaedic specialists for an opinion on this lot??:(
....off to go sob quietly in a corner...
Morning Halla, if you didn't need it they wouldn't do it, if you leave it any longer they will be giving you your knee in a pretty box.:(
