I have a quick question, last night I picked up some seaweed that is attached to a rock and I was wondering I i thoroughly clean the seaweed would it be ok to put into my tank as decoration and for the guppies to feed on?

You will be adding salt to the tank not a good idea I would imagine.

Guppys in the wild can easily tolorate brackish water - so the salt wont be a problem for them. The seaweed will probably die pretty quickly though.

It will rot and quickly pollute the aquarium. There's artificial seaweed marketed for aquariums you can buy though that's safe.

    I wouldn't recommend it. O'Neill is right.
