Anyone have a clue if this is going to be screened in the UK? And who by? Channel 5 were disastrous last year...

I'd like to think that a smaller channel will pick it up but i'm not hopeful :-(
But to be honest, I'm not that bothered if it won't be on because I've realized now that none of the contestants are going to become superstars any more, they become people that you get to know more and more each week,. You pick your favourite and then look forward to them releasing music only for them not to get a recording contract and are then completely forgotten
i agree about the contestants but i really like the 'vibe' of the show anyway:
- the stories the contestants have - chris medina with his brain damaged fiance comes to mind.
- the songs they perform.
- the themes they have in the live shows.
the show has a good history and a lot of good alumni as well which helps.
On 3e's website they have a '3player' that we might be able to watch the episodes on? Not sure if it'll work in our region though. http://www.tv3.ie/3player/

The only bad thing is that it will not be in HD.
Not only is it not HD but if that preview show the other night is anything to go by the bit rate is really low.
Presumably you're on Sky (or Freeview)? I've just set my Tivo on Virgin and it linked the series.
It starts on 11 January on 4 Music - Freeview 18, Virgin 330, Sky UK 360.
The only problem is the website indicates that it will only be showing one episode a week? The show was cut down to one a week in the live shows last season, but the bits before that were two shows a week.
