    Poltergeist II....5/10.

Poltergeist is one of my favourite films but most of this follow-up is rubbish....

The Hunger Games - a better than expected 7/10

Gets a bit bleugh leading up to the finale. Also, far too '12'. Makes the games themselves a bit of a let-down.

Berberian Sound Studio. Not sure I'm totally clear on what was exactly going on, but I think that's the beauty of it - everyone will have a different take on it.

Have written up some thoughts here- http://www.thisisafilmblog.com/berberian-sound-studio-2012/

Another earth - Interesting at first but i found the script very ameturish and a bit meh. I felt there was no point to it really by using a space theme.

    2 DAYS IN THE VALLEY - 7.5/10

bizarre drama involving balding hitmen who don't like dogs, kidney stones, and charleze theron and teri hatcher beating the everloving **** out of each other :D

    also wierd statues too

    TRUE LIES - 8.5/10

imaginative action adventure, with two stories and unique action sequences that still surprise and delight, but the digital effects are starting to show their age surprisingly

I'd never seen this before, and should have left it that way. Directed by Tony Scott, what was he doing. Taking the piss ? It's the biggest mess of a movie I've ever seen. In its favour it has a good cast, Mickey Rourke, Keira Knightley, Christopher Walken etc.. but most are giving the worst performance of their lives. If I was Keira I'd want to hunt down and destroy every copy of this movie in existence, she is beyond awful.
Perhaps it's a cult film ?..if so, it's no cult I'd want to join.

I'll give it a point for curiosity value.
