Omar Sharif and Julie Christie in Dr Zhivago. Two beautiful people in a brilliant epic film. If anyone hasn't yet watched it, it's on CH5 on Friday 3rd Jan at 1 15pm.
Daniel Craig and Eva Green - Casino Royal
Michael Keaton and Michelle Pfieffer - Batman Returns
Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher - Star Wars original triology
David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly - Labyrinth
Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway - Bonnie & Clyde
Leonardo DiCaprio and Marion Cotillard - Inception
Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard - Breakfast at Tiffany's
Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable - Gone With The Wind
Veronica Lake and Alan Ladd in their films
Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman - Casablanca
Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Clift in 'A Place in the Sun'. It was post car-crash but also still think they're pretty striking together in 'Suddenly Last Summer' too. Always had good chemistry; probably helped by the fact that they adored each other in reality.
Speaking of chemistry...I'll add Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. ;-)
I thought Montgomery Clift was gay. I suppose he could still adore a woman from afar though. Suddenly last Summer is something I have seen. It was about cannibalism.
That picture of Natalie Wood and Steve McQueen is stunning too. I don't recall ever seeing Love with a Proper Stranger.
Natalie was very beautiful - (going a bit OT) has anything ever come of the renewed investigation into her death?
I've only ever seen about half of it on TV once years ago. I thought it was very good and it stayed with me. It seems to be about £20 as a standalone DVD from Amazon.

...to name a few!
1st BIB: oh yeah.:D Brilliant casting. Craig's cold, brutal Bond and Green's tragic, brittle beauty. Star-crossed lovers if ever there were.
2nd BIB: Bogey, superb actor that he was, isn't quite the guy who comes immediately to mind when I think of 'handsome':p. Bergman, on the other hand, has a timeless beauty and grace. I've seen Casablanca dozens of times and she's still striking. That scene during the Paris flashback where you see her sitting next to Rick on the sofa in a ballgown - those legs!:D

Elizabeth Taylor pretty much saved his life at the car crash I think...pulled his teeth from out of his throat. Good in a crisis, Liz!
Yeah he was gay, but they remained very close friends up until his death. So yep, they did adore each other!
'Suddenly Last Summer' is a very odd film! Just meant that they still had good chemistry...Taylor always said that Clift was the first person to really take her seriously as an actress rather than 'Child Star' when they made 'A Place in the Sun'.
That picture of Natalie Wood and Steve McQueen is stunning too. I don't recall ever seeing Love with a Proper Stranger.

I don't think so, but I've seen an interview with Natalie's sister once and she seemed to imply that her death was not an accident and that Robert Wagner was responsible. Apparently, he was in a jealous rage the night she drowned. I never liked him and don't know what Natalie Wood saw in him.

Yes I suspect Robert Wagner probably played a part - I am amazed that he was not questioned further at the time or asked to explain the delay in calling the coastguard.
I thought that the investigation had been reopened more recently, but haven't heard anything else since then.

Love that film.
My first thoughts when I saw this thread were Omar Sharif and Julie Christie in Dr Zhivago but have been reminded of quite a few more beautiful people reading this
Viggo Mortensen & Liv Tyler in the lord of the rings
Javier Bardem & Penelope Cruz in Vicky Christina Barcelona
Milan Kunis & Justin Timberlake in Friends with Benefits
Comments
Sure, it's a daft film but that scene where they first meet and dance together in the evening is pure romance.
Here is Ange getting ready to do some house work:

I agree about Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor.

Yes, absolutelely!! Although I'm not a fan of James Dean or Titanic.

Personally I'm going for Natalie Wood circa 1964 and Alain Delon circa Le Samourai. Both the same generation. Pity it never happened.
A quite extraordinarily handsome man. I saw him in a re-release of Plein Soleil earlier this year.

Yeah, they could do style.
