According to a tv mag, Corrie was going to do the HIV story late last year, but the actress who plays the character that would be getting it, didn't want to and refused, so the Corrie bosses got cold feet and didn't bother with it. Apparently their now kicking themselves after seeing how well Val's story is doing:p. Wonder who the actress was? I'm thinking Carla ( would make sense with Barlow Bonk-all), and they gave her the ridiculously OOC baby story in spite.

Need to add this .... I heard Dom saying he was going to the "jobcentre" ... thats a FIRST a character has acknowleged he is away to go and sign on .... yet any other time characters arrive and are able to walk into jobs , pity they can't be more realistic with other characters if they lose their job and need to sign on....

I used to live somewhere without a jobcentre and have to travel to it, I always found it odd the city of Ripon had no jobcentre and you had to go to Harrogate to sign on, if you did that is, back in the day to just sent a form with your signature on and then a cheque would arrive with yout money, I bet you wouldn't get away without setting foot in ajob centre and endless interogations for 13 weeks a time now.
As for Dom soap characters barely ever mention Jobcentres and benefits which is why they get into debt so much.

I don't think he got sacked. He asked Dobbeh to buy him out as he didn't want to work with/for the Dingles. Don't blame him really.
