Artists you couldnt name a single song by

Paolo Nutini was on the radio a while back, and i realized, that whilst he must be successful to be going this long, i couldn't tell you a single song he has released.
Are there any artists that you'd be in a similar position with?

I have heard loads of his songs, but i couldnt actually tell you what any are called.

I am the same with paolo nutini, I know the song that says license for my telly, but dont know the titles of any. I am pretty ignorant when it comes to modern chart music, couldnt tell you a single song thats in the charts today.

Louise Redknapp had nine top ten solo singles. Try getting anyone to name even one of them. (sadly I'd be able to mostly because I just looked up how many she had)

From the top of my head I can't think of many for Pink Floyd or The Who. Think The Who did a song called 'Who Are You' (erm maybe?) and could only name Another Brick In The Wall and Comfortably Numb for the other group.

Probably thousands! If you think about it there are lots of genres of music you are not interested in and therefore wouldn't know many songs. Also acts from other countries who you might never have heard of.

Or do you just mean artists that are popular in this country and played on the radio?

Barbara Streisand is one. Whitney Houston I could name I Will Always Love You and I Wanna Dance With Somebody and that's it. Cher I could name Believe and Gypsies Tramps and Thieves and that's it. All these ladies have had long careers and lots of success yet that's all I've come away with.

The sixth biggest artist in that - Led Zeppelin - I could only name one for, Stairway to Heaven. Then only Highway to Hell for AC/DC and the highest I couldn't name any for is Garth Brooks.

Just looked at the title of this thread and Paolo was the first name that came into my head, I can recognise his voice easy enough on the radio though.
