Jobs and growth is only going to happen with a decreased deficit surely? Okay so if it's some kind of Zen riddle, vicious circle, the only way to break out of it is to remove/reduce one of the factors. Almost sounded like a prepared speech by Abbott.

How does cutting things encourage growth and jobs? I'm not saying that cuts aren't needed, but the two are surely not in any way dependent on each other.
They should have put on Abbots briefing notes "when answering a question don't tilt your head back and roll your eyes to the ceiling before speaking as it can appear you are about to communicate with the other side".
See, she just can't stop doing it! She also can't keep her eyes open when saying something she doesn't really believe / isn't true.
Farage says some interesting figures. Okay so if these numbers are right, does it make him more electable because he said it or not? If a different MP from another party had said it, would it make such an impect?
Bit of a populist quip at the end regarding the UK's small businesses. But fair enough.
EDIT: And as mentioned above the college kids quip is an example of what I consider the half way house position between a reasonable MP approach and an unreasonable one.

I suppose it depends on where the cuts are. Can anything be considered "extravagant" in expenditure? I mean things beyond the core "must haves" of services such as the NHS, etc.
Yeah I agree they aren't dependant on each other but I do think they have a relevant that influence each other.

Only one fat lady this time
It was in Essex along with Stratford and West Ham for most of my early life.
Round the circle we go ..
Guardian blames everyone it seems!
She can always run away to her villa in Tuscany if she's too scared.

Why are people of the left not allowed to have nice things without it being constantly being brought up against them?
Being of the lift no more means you're a communist as being right wing means you're a horrible racist.
It just seems strange that people bring up what people on the left earn or have, as if it's an argument against whatever they say.
However his point about 'college kids' is utter nonsense.
Indeed.

What is it? 30p?
'You find yourself elected'
...you have to stand first Simon. It's not like an infection.
Nothing wrong with people having things that they have worked for. It's when they criticise others for doing the same - such as having second homes.
Bingo
But who has accused them of doing so?
It's an absurd constant swipe against the left. It's meaningless and weak.

But why do the left always moan about the Tories being 'toffs'?
