To be honest, like one of the girls said, these facilities are a lot safer than loitering the streets. Prostitution is always going to exist, why not make it as safe as possible?
I suspect it depends on the area and in some the authorities turn a blind eye because it is safer and keeps them off the streets.

It was quite well done, but if I'm honest I found it to be a very dull documentary which didn't really enlighten or educate me in any way.
It could just as well have been about people working in a tax office explaining how they file the claims for insurance.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to have a conversation with any of the people we saw, far less get involved in anything sexual with any of them and far, far less paying for it. Quite disturbing that ladies in their 30s, 40s and beyond would quite shamelessly choose this as their way to provide for their children. I assumed the majority of these places were full of Eastern European girls in their early 20s.
