If a bisexual marries someone of the same sex, can they also marry someone of the opposite sex, or is that bigamy ? If a bisexual in a same sex marriage has an affair with someone of the opposite sex, is that adultery and grounds for a divorce ?

It's all very simple ANYONE (adult) can now marry whoever they want to of any sex or sexuality (As long as they are an adult, consenting and not closely related).

But you can only ever be married to one person at one time.
ALL sexual activity outside of the marriage can be grounds for adultery. It can also be something that both parties in any marriage can be happy with.

There is no more same sex or opposite sex marriage, just marriage and everyone can now do it.

You're wrong about adultery. Adultery only refers to vaginal intercourse. Oral sex, anal sex etc are not covered but would still be covered under the unreasonable behaviour ground for divorce. As such, same sex cheating can never be adultery. Of course if someone married to a same sex partner engages in vaginal intercourse with someone of the opposite sex then adultery is still valid.

I think adultery should be done away with anyway as a ground for divorce, it's an anachronistic religious term that isn't necessary anymore.

King Lear said, you should not die for adultery. "Let copulation thrive", he said.

Bill clinton should have said "I did not commit adultery with that woman"

he would have been factually accurate
