Which Quiz Shows Should Return?

Following the return of 15 to 1, there's an article about what other quiz shows should return on Digital Spy so I thought I'd start a thread.

The obvious answer is 15 to 1 itself - the proper half hour version with a decent host that is.

The other one I'd like to see return is my favourite quiz show of this century, The Vault.

    Pop Quiz with Mike Read.

I was watching some old shows I found on the internet that someone had originally capped in VHS. I couldn't believe how well they stood up and the questions still seemed just as difficult!

Yes, but with the same host. Watching repeats of Strike it Rich, Barrymore is a legend, remember he was never convicted of anything and on Twitter at least, he comes across as a top man.

Criss Cross Quiz. I haven't seen a decent game of noughts and crosses for ages.

He's a drunk and a manic depressive who turned to drugs. Not your ideal candidate for a tv host. He's very unstable. Personally I could never stand the bloke. He was beyond irritating and was about as funny as a death at a pool party.

Another vote for Wipeout, the one with Paul Daniels.

Every Second Counts, which was also hosted by Paul Daniels.

    Chain Letters

It would have to have the same great theme tune, though.

Wipeout ( Bob Monkhouse/ Paul Daniels ) was also a brilliant quiz format which would stand the test of time.

About 10 years ago I saw a quiz on Channel Four with, I think, Noel Edmonds, on which contestants randomly open boxes to eliminate cash amounts to be left with one.
There were no questions and absolutely no skill or intelligence whatsoever was required, so obviously, nothing like that would retain the public interest for long as it would very quickly becoming extremely boring, so it would be good to see that back for a one off special.

I used to love that! Was that with Hugh Jelley, Julian's little helper?

    Agreed.

General TV knowledge quiz for all ages, a winner in my book.

Agreed, and not that lump of junk presented by the clueless Richard Bacon. That guy is more wooden than Pinocchio with about half as much personality which wasn't helped by having that jumped up sarky miserable grump Tarrant sat there being a total faceache as per usual.

It was better than Red or Black. Only one series ?

I would have said Call my Bluff but Would I Lie to You is a farted up version with situations rather than definitions.
