That's a different and interesting take on Perez. I had heard about him but didn't really know enough to form a proper opinion however this is what I assumed about him. I thought he was taking the pee out of celebrities and from what you're saying that is the case. I do like him in the House thus far and weirdly considering his bad reputation he seems kind and considerate, well mannered and intelligent :o
Yes I thought it was nice when he said he considered more about what he was saying and doing due to having a child ;-)
Well isn't it just a pity he didn't think about the feelings of his targets/victims children.:(
I think I'd take any back lash more seriously if it came from someone more credible than a Perez Hilton wannabe
Does it really matter why he rid it? Surely most of polite society is based on people wanting to look good not bad so motive isn't necessarily relevant.
Indeed. I am not suggesting that is why he did it. To me It just looked like a nice thing to do, but it it seems very odd for people to criticize the one person who suggested the bed swap rather than the ten or so who were too selfish.
These are my thoughts too, he comes across like he is digging for dirt, hoping one of them will say something he can live off when he gets out. Horrble person.

[1.] Falsely announced the death of Cuban President Fidel Castro.
[2.] Called for the firing of Isaiah Washington from ABC television series Grey's Anatomy for making homophobic remarks and called for his readers to do the same. However, in early 2007, he was criticized by the blog The Hollywood Gossip for ignoring racist and homophobic remarks made by Paris Hilton.
[3.] Released illegal recordings of Britney and Lady Gaga
[4.] In 2007 a judge cleared the way for Hilton to be deposed in an on-going defamation suit brought against him by DJ Samantha Ronson, after a post on PerezHilton.com claimed that she had planted cocaine in friend Lindsay Lohan's car and set Lohan up to be photographed while under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
[5.] Posted links to Colin Farrel's sex tape
[6.] Posted a topless image of actress Jennifer Aniston that was allegedly "misappropriated and illegally copied" from unreleased footage from her 2006 motion picture The Break-Up.
[7.] Outed gay actors before they had come out e.g. Neil Patrick Harris & Lance Bass from N-Sync
[8.] Got clocked in the eye by Polo Molina at a Black Eyed Peas event where he called Will.I.Am a "****"
[9.] On June 25, 2009, shortly after Michael Jackson had gone into cardiac arrest, Hilton posted an article about the star's illness, claiming it was a publicity stunt. Hilton's original post featured sarcastic comments such as "Get your money back, ticket holders!!!!" and "Jacko pulled a similar stunt when he was getting ready for his big HBO special in '95 when he 'collapsed' at rehearsal!"
[10.] On June 13, 2010, Hilton posted a Twitter message linking to an upskirt picture of Miley Cyrus, which allegedly showed the singer without underpants. Since Cyrus was still underage at the time, questions were raised as to whether or not child pornography charges could be raised.
[11.] In October 2010, Hilton became involved in the It Gets Better Project started by Dan Savage, urging celebrities to support gay teenagers who were being driven to suicide by anti-gay bullying. This prompted Khloé Kardashian to call out Hilton as her "personal bully", claiming that it seemed hypocritical to make an anti-bullying message at the request of a man who had repeatedly bullied her
[12.] Lady Gaga cancelled her tour due to a hip injury caused by repetitive movements in her show. According to claims made by Lady Gaga on Twitter, Perez responded by sending her a picture featuring a wheelchair with the word Karma written across and Madonna pointing a gun.
[13.] Ruined an episode of Glee by appearing in it.
To address these horrific acts of his individually:
[1.] Oohh. How awful. I hope no one spent too much money sending flowers to the funera.
[2.] Isaiah Washington deserved to be fired, and was rightly fired. But complaining that there's something else he didn't report on? Can't have it both ways. And he can't report everything.
[3.] Released illegal recordings of Britney and Lady Gaga
[4.] Yeah. The judge threw out the lawsuit, and SHE had to pay his attorney fees.
[5.] Posted links to a sex tape someone else made? Yeah, that makes Perez the bad one.
[6.] Posted an image from a movie? String him up.
[7.] Those two? Yeah, worst kept secret.
[8.] How terrible of him to be assaulted by a thug.
[9.] So what.
[10.] Again, posting a link? Quelle horreur!
[11.] How awful. He got involved in an anti-bullying campaign? String him up. As for Ms. Kardashian ... she's the one who puts her out there to be commented upon, criticized, whatever. It's not bullying. It's keeping the thing in the public eye. Just the way she likes it.
[12.] And I thought Americans didn't understand British humor. Looks like the opposite is also true.
[13.] Seriously?
I mean, if this is the list of his sins & transgressions, someone needs to get a life.
Well isn't it just a pity he didn't think about the feelings of his targets/victims children.:(
:o I knew he'd murdered people though some have tried to convince me otherwise ;-)
I can see how work is different to life and anyway it appears he's changed his ways so that should surely be admired not that I am personally remotely bothered with his work.
Want to see the real him. Like I want to also see the real Katie. I also want to see the real Nadia. I also want to see the real Michelle.......erm the other interviewers.
That's about the size of it.:) I could care less about his road to Damascus moment when he decided to change. Conveniently after he made millions off the back of being a nasty toerag. Can't stand him.

Its not really that though, is it? He thrived on a certain type of very low-level gossip for a while but even the audience that he had deserted him out of a mix of disgust and boredom. He's now on a mission to try and reinvent himself but it's going to be a hard road as he seems clueless as to how to take himself and his site forward. Currently - have a google - it's a sad mess, still the same tired old, badly researched, barely-literate mess, and the comments (or lack thereof - serious lack thereof in comparison to sites like Dlisted and celebitchy) say it all.
He would love to be MichaelK but he doesn't have either his beautiful heart or turn of phrase.

That was good! Could have saved time by just sticking your fingers in your ears and going "na na na na I can't hear you" though.
I think he thinks it may be expected of him i.e. the reason he got chosen to go into the house. At least he's being true to who he is. Not like Katie Hopkins who (even after her 'kindness' act has been lifted) is acting exactly the same as she was when she was under it.
I like Perez (even though I thought it was a misspelling and that it was Paris Hilton that was going in the house...then I thought he must be her brother). He's nosy but not rude and there is something vulnerable about his openness. At least he's not 'guarded' like the Brits usually are. The Americans just let it all hang out, faults and all. I like that.
He didnt like being nominated did he - thought he was everyone's "friend" ha ha. If Chloe and Alexander werent up because of that daft "twist" then he would be up for eviction this week - did laugh when Cheggers told him to get his arse off the kitchen units!
Never liked him before the show and dislike him even more since he went into the house, even though it's only been a few days. He's so loud and irritating.

None of them liked being nominated to be fair. Alexander seems one of the most het up about it. All these celebs have very fragile egos not that civilian HMs take it much better.

Haven't you posted this elsewhere. Still doesn't sound that terrible to me
Anyway he's been lovely in the House this far so I suppose we need to separate his personal life from his professional life to fully enjoy him.
can we ever completely separate someones personal life from their professional life though?
Maybe now we should start to be saying what nice people those NOTW editors were, people really liked them and their parties, and maybe this means they shouldn't have been prosecuted and imprisioned for their professional life when they bugged murdered girls phones, and obtained stories through illegal methods?:p
I think over the past few years Perez Hilton has become less popular, which is perhaps why now he is starting to pull the now I am a grown up card, I apologise for some of my past stories?

Well isn't it just a pity he didn't think about the feelings of his targets/victims children.:(
I don't like the way he is interviewing people rather than having a conversation.
I cannot abide him & agree with you about his "interviewing" techniques. He's just behaving like a bl**dy nuisance.
Indeed. I am not suggesting that is why he did it. To me It just looked like a nice thing to do, but it it seems very odd for people to criticize the one person who suggested the bed swap rather than the ten or so who were too selfish.
If they were big enough celebrities they would all know everything about each other anyway.
These are my thoughts too, he comes across like he is digging for dirt, hoping one of them will say something he can live off when he gets out. Horrble person.
Agree. He's just dreadful. I cannot abide him>:(

No, I find nothing admirable about him whatsoever.
I suppose there's no reason to change then ;-)
Bloody hell how many of them are in that house?

Fair do's. Each to their own I guess
