Right, let's see if I remember all these!

    Radio Scotland, Saturday 26 January

Rangers v St Mirren - John Barnes, Billy Dodds, Murdo MacLeod and Chick young
Aberdeen v Hearts - Scott Davie and Allan Preston
Kimarnock v Dundee Utd - Alisdair Lamont and Jim Duffy

Clyde v Hamilton - 'Somebody' Dowden or Gowden - a new voice, certainly.
Dundee v Queen of the South - Jim Spence
Dunfermline v Morton - Paul Mitchell

I think that Ben Jacobs is commentating at the JJB on Real Radio in London. Tim Oglethorpe is reporting from the touchline.

Tommorrow's commentary teams on BBC Radio Manchester are:

Manchester United v Tottenham Steve Wyeth and Arthur Albiston
Manchester City at Sheffield United Ian Cheeseman and Fred Eyre

Could it have been Stevie Cowan at Clyde?

I don't think so. I'm sure Richard Gordon called him "Dowden" or "Gowden".

It might have just been a blip in the signal and it was indeed Cowan. The report might be uploaded to the BBC site later.

Another possibility is Alex Dowdwell who used to report from the Airdrie area on Radio Clyde. (Clutching at straws here.)

Just saw Highlights of Kairdiff's Win at Hereford that was on Earlier on BBC2W. It was Rob Phillips and Kevin Ratcliffe for BBC Radio Wales. In One Slow Passage of Play, they switched to a Shot of Kevin Co-Commentating (You didn't get to see Rob Phillips, but a Small Man wearing a Dai Cap was a Dead Giveaway that it was him).

    IRN

    Derby v Preston Dave Woods

I'm sure that was just a typo. He was there for 5 Live. IRN's reporter was Steve Jackson. I was sat next to him.

And we went to 'cubs' together 25-odd years ago.

    Some further details from Saturday

    BBC RADIO TEES

Mansfield v Middlesbrough Paul Addison/Gary Gill (commentary)

    Mark Drury with Interviews

Darlington v Macclesfield Ray Simpson (commentary)

Arsenal v Newcastle Mick Lowes/John Anderson (commentary)

    CENTURY FM

Arsenal v Newcastle Pete Graves/Bob Moncur (commentary)

Mansfield v Middlesbrough Alastair Brownlee (updates)

Also picked up Radio Scotland but like the rest of you couldn't make out name of reporter at Clyde. It was a new name I hadn't heard before.

Correct - another typo. As you wrote, Steve Jackson (who seems to travel the country) reported for IRN.

Yesterday, Naz Prenjis (or however it is spelt) covered Sheffield United v Manchester City for IRN. I did not catch the Man Utd v Tottenham reporter but would guess that it was Peter Smith.

Andy, welcome. It's good to have someone covering the North-West. I've been at a conference in Belgium this week (it was nice to watch "Match Of The Day" without knowing the results first) but I'm back and raring to go this weekend with football and rugby. If Chris Cooper was covering Sunderland on Tuesday, does he still commentate on Man U's matches for Century?

Century don't do commentaries. Manchester United matches are on XFM Manchester.

Welcome? I've been a member since 2001 I think. Only just changed my password to one I can remember. :D

Gary Weaver and Mickey Thomas do Man Utd for XFM. They have used Phil Blacker and Stuart Arrowsmith at times this season when Weaver has been doing Football First games for Sky.
