About to finish NYPD Blue season 7 and moving on to season 8. Want to complete the 12 season viewing soon. Was going to watch Homicide Life on the Streets next, but think will probably take a genre brek after completing NYPD Blue, and will instead go for something other than a cop show, and a much shorter run 3/4 seasons max.
I am switching between The World at War Blu Ray (I am soooo much better than everyone - actually it was a Christmo pressie) and the Lord Peter Wimsey box set from the 1970s with the brilliant Ian Carmichael I suppose its quite "vanilla" compared to some of the recent box sets, but that's how I roll (American term picked up from some obscure tv programme)
I'll call it a boxset for legal reasons, but I've just worked my way through all 3 seasons of Deadwood. It's like Shakespeare with cowboys and swearing. AMAZING.
Yesterday I finished watching season 2 of Dollhouse.
Mind: blown.
Heart: broken.
Such a brilliant series. In a way I think early cancellation actually helped it, because they really went for broke in the last 10 episodes or so, though I also enjoyed the assignment-of-the-week stories as well. The cast did a phenomenal job portraying their different personas, especially Victor as Topher - oh my GOD, that was so spot on. And those final plot twists they threw in were genius.
Change of plan, we've broken out The West Wing.....again.
Good call! I must have rewatched it about 5 times now. Though my enthusiasm wanes after series 4 and I usually give up for something else after that. Only rewatched 5, 6 & 7 once... its just not the same show in those series... like Invasion of the Body Snatchers or something.
Buffy and Angel. It's going to take a while as I'm renting them from LoveFilm. I've seen them before, but both series got poorly treated on terrestrial TV (the last series of Angel wasn't even shown if I remember right) and I'd like to see them again without the cuts and general buggering about. I'm considering doing Babylon 5 after that. I haven't seen that since it was shown on C4, which seems like an age ago.

Seasons 6 and 7 for me evoke conflicting feelings. On the one hand I actually liked the Santos storyline, but on the other it's rather sad to see the Whitehouse, and so many of the regular relegated to the sidelines. Season 5, has some great individual episodes, but I always find the 'Leo' storyline to be a bit depressing.
Just finished watching The Wire in its entirety. Now I'm watching Burn Notice season 2, after that I have a box set of a show called 'Arrested Development' someone got me for a Xmas present - anyone know if it's any good? I'd literally never heard of it before.

Arrested Development is an excellent comedy. Sadly cut short in its prime but it's certainly up there with the best in recent years. And you can't really go wrong with Hank "Hey Now" Kingsley aka Jeffrey Tambor in the cast. Enjoy!

Everybody who sees seems to like it. Some people need to get a good number of episodes under their belt before they start LOVING it, though.
I'm watching Prison Break. I only watched the second half of season one, first half of season two, and second half of season four on TV, so I have quite a bit to see. The boxset was going cheap in Tescos, so I thought why not?!

LOVED that series, should never have been cancelled
Picked up Clone Wars Season 2 on BR, so that'll probably be next for me, after we finish season 2 of Chuck and Season 5 of How I Met Your Mother.
The dialogue is fantastic, isn't it?:D

Can't wait to see what Joss does next.

High on my radar as well, probably hit that after the West Wing rewatch. Saw it a couple of years ago, still holds up well, particularly seasons 2-4.
Have just started on Season 3, episode 'Brain Child'
Midway through season 2 so far.
