A ton of pics are uploaded to that site,
wondering if theres a way to get code
and post to forums
As far as I know, Tumblr doesn't provide an embedding code. You could right click on the image and get its address and then use the 'insert image' button that many forums have to post them that way, but I'm fairly sure there'd be copyright implications of doing that (which maybe why they don't provide embedding codes) - I know I'd be annoyed if my Tumblr images started turning up on forums without any links back to the original post. Also, Tumblr may not like people using their bandwidth to repost images on other sites.
thanks for the info,
so what is the main reason people put
pics up there ? is it their blogs ?
Yeah, it's just a blogging site. It's extremely easy to use, which is probably why it's so popular. You just have to choose who you follow carefully because so people can post so many entries one after another it takes over your feed (or maybe I should check my feed more often) and, as with all social media, there are some strange people on there
Ive finally figured Tumblr out,
the trick is to ....click follow ... to blogs with
subjects you re interested in, it might be the swinging 60s, harry potter, hammer horror.... Hollywood ....etc ..... get to follow 50 or so blogs.
The next time you go back to tumblr and sign in, say a week later, all the pics that have been posted to those blogs will be there... stacked up... you simply scroll down them all and save any that you like .
It brilliant really and a great .... searchable resource on the web .

I disagree, I find its great as a search tool, type any name or subject in and pics come up
cant see how you can do that with Blogger.
I bet it won't be for long now Yahoo have taken it over.
I just sent an e mail with an embedded photo,
the text got there ok
alas , cant see the photo !
Looks like Blogger have the advantage in that
side of things .
