This kind of thing seemed so much more straightforward when Rita's Kabin used to do it.
I could quite enthusiastically vote, dishing out a wide range of marks, right up to the last three years or so ... and then it all goes a bit "meh" (as the young people say). I don't even bother to vote in the DWM Season Survey anymore because I don't care.

Apart from Waters of Mars (phenomenal classic Base under siege story) series 4 was the right time to have ended Tennants and RTD's run. That said I am a big fan of most of TEOT and DT again is spot on but it doesn't all quite gel..

Much like series 2 for me, some wonderful stories but more than a fair share of dullards. I'm thinking I may treat myself to the box set this xmas and revisit it, its just The Ponds..really put me off.
The one Big plus was an new actor playing the Doctor, hitting the ground running, absolutely nailing it in his first series.
Unfortunately for the next series the writer/s appeared to have ignored this phenomenal actor and pushed him to the side lines with little regard to developing his Doctor in favour of a misjudged companion arc.

A strange inconsistent mix bag, far more than series 2 or 5. Still debating to get this box set or not. Great to see The Doctor getting in on the action a bit more unfortunately for Matt Smith, after a stunning debut series 5, he was wasted in Moffats series 6 vanity project and, for me his Doctor, through no fault of the actor, never fully recovered from series 6 to become a fully fleshed out character in series 7. Such a shame, such a wasted opportunity as Matt Smith himself has been the highlight of a messy 3 series era.

I understand there are people who didn't even bother to watch the newly found Web of Fear and Enemy of the World. And yet they'll happily sit through multiples viewings of Fires of Pompeii or that one where they cure people inflicted with every disease in the world by spraying them with every medicine in the world (I am being facetious by claiming to not recall the title of course. I am very familiar with every episode made and so know it was called 'New Earth').

Love series one, along with series 3 and 4 probably the most re watched box set sessions I own. Ecclestone is beyond wonderful and shows that a 'dark' Doctor doesn't and shouldn't mean being an anti hero.

MIx bag of a series, a few great highs with quite a few dull uninspired, although not terrible episodes. The tricky second album.
A series where David Tennant finds his feet in the role and the writers find how to write for his Doctor which all comes together for series 3 and 4.

Apart from Waters of Mars (phenomenal classic Base under siege story) series 4 was the right time to have ended Tennants and RTD's run. That said I am a big fan of most of TEOT and DT again is spot on but it doesn't all quite gel..

Much like series 2 for me, some wonderful stories but more than a fair share of dullards. I'm thinking I may treat myself to the box set this xmas and revisit it, its just The Ponds..really put me off.
The one Big plus was an new actor playing the Doctor, hitting the ground running, absolutely nailing it in his first series.
Unfortunately for the next series the writer/s appeared to have ignored this phenomenal actor and pushed him to the side lines with little regard to developing his Doctor in favour of a misjudged companion arc.

I promised myself never to review/criticise something in this way and I have always tried to expand in detail my views on this series but seeing as I could spend pages saying just how awful this series was, and how it still is and will forever be, I'm afraid in order to get to the crux I have to use one word. Shite.
There will forever a series 6 gap in my DVD collection, a dusty space with dead flies and bits of crisps gone green.

A strange inconsistent mix bag, far more than series 2 or 5. Still debating to get this box set or not. Great to see The Doctor getting in on the action a bit more unfortunately for Matt Smith, after a stunning debut series 5, he was wasted in Moffats series 6 vanity project and, for me his Doctor, through no fault of the actor, never fully recovered from series 6 to become a fully fleshed out character in series 7. Such a shame, such a wasted opportunity as Matt Smith himself has been the highlight of a messy 3 series era.

I understand there are people who didn't even bother to watch the newly found Web of Fear and Enemy of the World. And yet they'll happily sit through multiples viewings of Fires of Pompeii or that one where they cure people inflicted with every disease in the world by spraying them with every medicine in the world (I am being facetious by claiming to not recall the title of course. I am very familiar with every episode made and so know it was called 'New Earth').
Near faultless. Your taste is impeccable. If we put your list in a ranking order of your ratings it would be almost exactly right. The Deadly Assassin (higher) and Planet of Evil (lower) are your only mistakes.
