Is it possible that they are considering running Regular and CBB at the same time? rather than simply clogging up regular BB with Celebs? That way they can cut their costs down dramatically, and interaction between the two would make for satisfying Endemol's endless obsession with plot twists.
My guess it that C5 are fed up with paying for 3 series a year and want to cut it down to two.

    I think it's already been announced that CBB will follow later in the summer. C5 would want to maximise the amount of air time each show can supply rather than having them compete for the same hourly HL package.
