I'd have liked to see Neda as a coach.

I read that the international players aren't coaches and will be as equal as the newbies? They'll be playing to win (for themselves) from the off.

    Tim was great <3.

    He has great potential.

His track record on game shows is good so far.

Winner of BB Aus and Runner Up on Aus Apprentice.

I think he will go all out for the first HoH win to set himself up in a good spot with the house.

IF he gets in of course ;)

Nikki's a cert, no way is Veronica going to beat her to a spot in the house

Poor Veronica. Production knew she would stand no chance to ensure Nikki won the vote.

As for Tim it might be a close vote. Lots of American HG's and viewers are endorsing a Jase vote as he was good TV. I understand and it would be fun but Jase had his shot at USA style BB twice. I want to see Tim have a go.

First 7 houseguests (spoiler warning for those who want to wait until March 2)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lk6xw4zTUfw&feature=youtu.be

Feel sorry for this lot and the not rights we will see later today as they, like the BB16 UK housemates, WILL be overshadowed by the resident toddler when she goes in

    All good looking... shocker.

Paige: I've been wanting to be on Big Brother Canada since I was 10 years old.

Er, what? The first series aired when you was 15/16, so how's that possible?

Yep, Premiere episode on 2nd I think with eviction on 3rd.

I hope they bring the international players into the house on day 1. All 4 of them. Make them part of the first week twist. Eg they each nominate one Canadian HG. Then all 8 play for veto. Veto must be used and take one off.

Then we get first eviction. The two internationals with highest votes stay and the two with the least have to compete to survive.

I think that's more fairer as it givers Veronica a fighting chance. Poor girl might as well not bother turning up.

Nikki and Tim / Jace will have such a giant target on their backs. However, they did make it through a week and if they're handed free immunity onto Week 3 then that's not fair at all.

    New HG are up.

Mitch and Cassandra stood out for me.

Mitch is my nomination for the most hated so far. He could be horrific to watch.

I also think the twist will massively flop.

Nikki / Tim will be early boots if they come in Week 2 like Alison was always on the bottom and on the outs.

Oh I'm behind the times there I thought they were mentors / coaches.
    Interesting. :)

Except they won't be as equal as I first thought :(

They're going in a week late and will be playing catch up. Like Mr_XcX said, I fear a similar situation that happened to Allison - always on the bottom of any alliance and being easy pawns.

Week one is vital for setting foundations, and it needs to be quite a volatile cast for any newbies to be accepted as a 'proper' housemate. Also, I remember the cast of series two always banging on about how Allison came in late and doesn't deserve to get to the end / she'll win because it's been a harder journey for her. The same arguments will be said about the international players thus creating an uphill battle for them. I don't get it, as producers will want the twist to be a success, so no doubt we'll see twist after twist to save them, so why make it harder for them from the off?

Edit: Actually, Allison went in week three (Ika's HoH with immunity), the international players look set to go in on the 3rd March (straight after the first eviction) so maybe it will be easier on them than it was Allison, and they'll be two of them so harder for the housemates to seclude.

While in sequestor the wildcard HG's except for Jase will probably be watching previous seasons to bring them up to speed with the format. They will probably have immunity for the first week they go in to give them some time to build relationships.

We'll see. To give credit to Allison she joined ranks with Andrew and she would have gone far if Neda had not won the Instant HoH which she was close to winning. Heather / Adel / Jon where gunning for the Gremlins that week.

I think we might be judging the Canadians too much. They're not going to target Nikki just because she is UK or Tim / Jase as they're Aus/USA. I think if they're annoying and not submissive then they'll gang up to get them out, or else rally them up for votes.

I don't think they'll target them because they're from a different country, but because they're late arrivals.

I expected Nikki and Tim to do well, but coming in late has me questioning that. Allison was nominated by Rachelle as soon as she lost immunity, then again by Heather - both times as pawns.

Allison eventually won Neda/Heather over, and they planned the whole 'Arlie to go' thing, then she screwed herself over by using the Veto on Sabrina, and then voting to evict Arlie when she could've had the numbers.

So, yes, Allison was able to make a game for herself - three weeks into her stay after being seen as a pawn all the time, but her decisions cost her. With Nikki and Tim going in even earlier than Allison (week two instead of week three), it should be much easier for them to slot in, but it's still an unnecessary target on their backs when the producers could've just put both of the internationals in on day one. They could've even put all four in, then evicted two of them. It would've been a lot easier on them, but I suspect producers have twists ready to save them if they get in trouble in the initial weeks, so what's it matter?

Production are going to do anything they can to keep Nikki and I assume Tim in. They won't want them gone so quickly. But I do agree them coming in as late arrivals is only going to create a bigger target for them. I wouldn't be surprised if they received immunity (did Allison?) or a HOH or POV comp that works out in their favour.

Can you actually see Nikki doing the physical or endurance HoH's or PoV's :p

She'll either be first eviction fodder or make the perfect final 2 goat ever, (minus Pilar of course. The biggest shock last season was her eviction :D)

I completely forgot about that. Yes, so Allison did have a chance.

She could have made things work. Although I suspect Arlie would have won if they had evicted Adel.

What a dumb move from her and the Gremlins. Liked Adel though so not complaining :p

In the waiting game she only lasted 10 minutes because she had windchill in her ear :D
She did much better in the silent disco task after she finally got her mp3 player to work. And she was only 3 minutes off an an hour (57 mins) with the head task in UBB. So tasks like that she could do ok. But physical no.

I don't know about being a goat but Nikki is quite endearing and in BB7, UBB and BB16 most of the housemates she made lasting friendships with. In BB7 she was only ever nominated once by her fellow HM's the other 3 times were the result of twists. In UBB she had Brian doing her hair and Nasty Nick looked at her as his little sister. :)

So if she gets to the end she could win as she could argue she has been entertaining, hasn't sat on the fence and made friendships with everyone on the jury.

The spoilers for the first show are out courtesy of the lovely Hamsterwatch.
    #BBCan4 premiere SPOILERS 1
    .
    .
house is a luxury hotel/casino theme - 2 bedrooms plus HOH, and Have-not is a Vegas wedding chapel

    #BBCan4 premiere SPOILERS 2
    .
    .
entry Group 1: Dallas (1st), Loveita, Maddy, Philippe, Cassandra
Group 2: Joel, Kelsey, Jared, Raul, Sharry

    #BBCan4 premiere SPOILERS 3
    .
    .
entry Group 3: Ramsey, Paige, Christine, Mitch (they were delayed because a fan stormed the doors lol!)

    #BBCan4 premiere SPOILERS 4
    .
    .
No HOH yet (likely endurance) - no wildcard hints for them, but something about one will be "doubled down"

Hmm, also I read on facebook that the impression a viewer in the audience got was that of the two internationals who lose the vote they won't necessarily be evicted. I think Nikki / Tim(Jase) will decide who to evict out of Veronica/Jase(Tim) and the remainder enters also. The producer did say that Jase and Veronica are good TV also so it seems a waste to evict both of them plus an additional Canadian HG on the first night.

Am I right in assuming 17 HG this season with 1 going this week + 1 international would mean no returnee players. I love Sindy for her move but I hate returnee players they screw up the game too much. Look at Gary ruining Emmett :(

What the hell is going on?
Phillipe has a brother called Nicholas. Both will alternate competitions. Basically, the twin twist but the other housemates know about it. I was excited about Phillipe, but now he has a massive target on his back, he'll be gone within the first few weeks.

I wonder if they've done it to take some heat off the internationals? I see absolutely no reason as to why they would do this twist. I can understand it when it's kept a secret, but the housemates being aware of it is just utterly pointless. Nobody in their right mind will allow both to enter, especially if they watched BB17 with the twins.

Oh, and according to the spoilers, neither Phillipe or Nicholas knew the other was entering the house... Whatever! :D

Already far too much going on... It seems a bit desperate but I guess I should wait and see.

    Edit:
Not clear but reading more about it, I think Phillipe and Nicholas will be playing as one throughout the entire game. From my understanding, they'll never become two individual housemates.

We have done this in Australia, your right doesn't make sense how they have done it.
