My entire music collection is "shouldn't like":

    Bucks Fizz
    Manilow
    Chris De Burgh
    Cliff Richard
    Garth Brooks
    Right Said Fred

Wouldn't be so bad if I was a 60 something woman, but being young and trendy it's just all kidns of wrong.

I used to be ashamed of liking Westlife's music, but not anymore. I used to get teased a lot at school (I'm at College now where people are more mature)- mainly being called sad or whatever.
I just think it's hilarious that people can't stand them now. The more people seem to dislike them, the more successful and popular they get. You keep slagging them off people, because us Westlife fans just get more and more loyal because of it! Ha ha ha!!!

I am 34 years old & have always been into all kinds of music, from 60s right up to today, but I have always prefered 'uncool' music! Even as an 8 yr old I was mocked by my older siblings for liking such greats as Dollar, The Dooleys, Boney M etc!

I still long to wake up & be into cool guitar bands etc but it hasn't happened yet!

Sad but true I would rather listen to 'Girls Aloud' over 'KT Tunstall' for example any day.

I have actually stood in a queue and paid money(99p & £2.99 respectively) for The Cheeky Girls album (its rubbishness puts a smile on my face!) & Paul Nicholas's greatest hits(only for 'Dancing with the captain' & Grandmas party though!)

I do like 'credible' music too, its just pop or plain naff cheese is better!

I can feel free to comment as I wish doodlefoodle. I have no idea why peole would be ashamed of what songs they listen to.

Since "cool" was mentioned, it's a state of mind and an attitude - not a song.

If James Dean liked The Cheeky Girls he would admit it, and still be cool.

I have some right dodgy tunes on my iPod. Examples include sloppy Diana Ross ballads, Bazza Manilow, Whitesnake, Shirley Bassey, Tony Christie, The Spice Girls and Steps. What's more, they are the ones I listen to the most.
