  Great news! Channel 4 HD and E4 HD both launched around this time of year (2007 and 2009 respectively) with very little fanfare. So expect More4 HD very soon .
  
  Just wonder what kept them so long. Cash shortage presumably - though they have been forking out for the almost empty transponder for over a year now .

  Yes, but there was also a report that it was displaying More 4 now and next info suggesting that More 4 HD is what it will become whatever it is currently showing.

  Second half of the new season of Southland.
  More repeats of Grand Designs and River Cottaging HD.
  
  And not forgetting more of it, more detailed, more colourful, more animated and more intrusive More Four HD DOG.
  If they move it to the same screen location of the 4HD DOG then it might not be so bad, just hope it’s not like the E4HD DOG.

  On the other thread on Sky channel changes (Sky forum here) someone (Popeye) working for Channel 4 confirms a late January launch and that it will not be FTA but Sky only and part of the Sky HD pack - at least initially.

  The Good Wife new series starts on More 4 on 24 January. Let us hope More 4 HD is off test and on the EPG by then.

  Nothing about More 4 HD launching in Radio Times or TV and Satellite for next week...but The Good Wife does start on there at 9 pm (repeated late night at 01.05) on 24 Jan (but so far listed as in SD only).
  
  It would be silly to launch a few days after this, but you would have thought these mags would have been told if it was imminent,

  Channel 4 does work in mysterious ways. 24 Jan would be an obvious launch date because of The Good Wife but who can say... If live tests appear towards the back end of this week then there is hope.

  That doesn't mean anything. Listings magazines never seem to have advance information about channels switching to HD.
