Some of you may remember this recent case where his eviction was prevented by 100s of strangers arriving at his house to prevent bailiffs taking possession.
Well it's all taken a rather bizarre turn.
A case was held yesterday in Nottingham to judge on whether he was allowed to launch another appeal. He lost the case. All the press reported he lost the case. The judges conclusion States that he lost the case. So he has no right to appeal and the suspension on the possession order was lifted leaving the building society free to continue the eviction process.
Tom however believes that he won the case! He believes that the judge gave him leave to appeal. He believes that statements in the judges summary are proof that the building society commited perjury. He claims the whole court case as a victory.
As fas as I can tell, Tom appears to have fallen in with the Freeman on the Land crowd. His 'legal advisors' are two people well known in the FMOL circles. And it would appear that they have been telling Tom that the judges report is written in legalese rather than English, therefore black is white and that a lose is a win. I've had a look at the judgement and it seems pretty clear to me. The Nottingham Evening Post thinks it's pretty clear. The BBC thinks it's pretty clear. The only people who think they have won is Tom and his Supporters.
Personally I beleive that Tom is at fault with regard his mortgage. However, I'm sure this could have been resolved without him losing his home had he not been poorly advised by idiots who have zero concept of the law.
A pretty sad case of someone being conned by others who think they know best.

Thanks, that does seem to be the case. He has had no endowment in place since 1999 to repay the capital of the mortgage, and has simply been paying interest.
I had to smile a little at the phrase, "With Guy Taylor having failed to get any interest from MI5,...." I bet he did.

Atrocious spelling. He should be evicted just for that. And his dog.
...and as for the wealthy organisational crooks who knowingly sold dubious and underperforming endowment mortgages, they, of course, get away scot-free.
