Now we have hit January - the oscar nominations are due on the 24th January - so what are your predictions for this year?

Who do you think will be nominated and who do you think deserves to win.....?

I have to say that Planet of the Apes should win best special effects

    If Viola Davis doesn't win Best Actress for 'The Help', I will be really irked.

    I really hope Meryl bags her second Best Leading Actress.

    Methinks Viola Davis is more likely than Streep, The Help took a ton of money in the US and Oscar really likes Davies, she was nominated for Doubt, despite only being in one scene.

    It'll be interesting to see if Harvey really can get a best picture Oscar for a black and white and silent film. Still if anyone can do it, it's him.

    I'd guess Scorsese will win best director, George Clooney will win actor, Viola Davis actress.

    i reckon michelle williams will win for marilyn. i think its between her and streep.

    clooney to win best actor!
