P C Brigade

There is a massive P C Brigade presence on here, this year.

It seems like whatever thread I read, there is someone trying to take someone else's comment the wrong way, putting 2 and 2 together and making 5. Then the thread goes off on a tangent, and gets right off the track the OP was trying to go on.

Its very tiresome. I'm sure some of these people are trolls:yawn:

In my experience in life there is very few things very more tiresome than people complaining about an imaginary PC brigade, even the phrase is worn and pointless. but each to their own.

Not sure that's new this year, or unique to the BB forum.

    What's the alternative?

Everyone posting sexist, racist, homophobic and deafist offensive comments?

It's nothing to do with being PC. Those sorts of comments are not wanted in a decent society.

The thread about not being able to understand Sam was hijacked because apparently because . he's got a disability we should pretend that we can understand him even if we can't.

Why do you reply giving extremes ?

The OP is not talking about extremes . I suggest you read the opening post again.

Ah yes... the infamous PC Brigade... let's face it they only manifest themselves as a collective entity if there is a significant amount of bigotry being spouted... and then they can only be seen by the bigots who are annoyed anyone should hold a different opinion to them.

It does seem particularly prevalent this year, some posters seem determined to find offence in the even the most benign comments.

Seems a strange way to get your kicks

I love how politically correct is somehow used as an insult, as opposed to politically incorrect.

there is being polically correct and this is something different.

some posters are being really rude to people who don't understand sam. why?....they are not insulting him. they are not calling him names.

some posters are being rude to people who don't like tats. why? these people are entitled to their opinion.

no one is using the 'n' word on here. I would understand then.

"Look at you, being correct, politically"

For one it's acknowledging that the person using it is incorrect, politically.

What is politically correct ? Is it the government who decides for us?

My particular bugbear are the idiots who decide to change perfectly good names and then all the minions follow .
